I had a great experience at Face Focused Orthodontics. The staff is very friendly, and made every attempt to help me and and my young son feel very welcome. Dr. Yu was wonderful. He had excellent bedside manner and connected so well with my son, all while being very thorough with his exam. I learned a lot, and Dr. Yu provided recommendations that would assist my son's growth over the years.

Had a great experience at Dr. Yu's office this past week. Went in for a consultation for Invisalign and Dr. Yu was both knowledgable and attentive in guiding me through the process. The office was very clean and modern and seemed to have all the latest tech including imaging machines. I was especially impressed when Dr. Yu personally reviewed my CT scan with me and was able to analyze my airway anatomy down to the minute detail. As a big bonus, his staff were very friendly and professional. Would highly recommend a visit to Face Focused Orthodontics.

After having consults at multiple other offices, I can happily say that this is the best orthodontist office I’ve been to. Dr. Yu and his team are the best there is. The whole experience from the initial phone call to every subsequent appointment has been fantastic. Dr. Yu is a true professional, incredibly knowledgeable and personable. I feel very confident and comfortable in his care, and can’t recommend this office enough.

I had such a wonderful experience with Dr. Yu and his team!Dr. Yu's office sits atop what feels like Mount Olympus would look like. The views are stunning! His office is spacious, extraordinary clean, and his staff is genuinely welcoming. They greeted me with huge smiles, and walked me to the back to take pictures. I was very impressed by the professional set up that they had for photography; most offices just use a cell phone.The registered dental hygienist who performed the iTero scan made the process very comfortable and completed the entire scan in minutes. She noticed when I needed a moment to swallow, and was attentive enough to realize if anything was feeling uncomfortable in my mouth. It was nice to have someone who cared about my comfort and not just getting the task done.I then met with Kim who is the treatment plan coordinator, and we went over my intake forms in detail. She was so nurturing and easy to relate to. She was very charismatic, and made me feel like she truly cared about my well being and health.I finally had the opportunity to meet with Dr. Yu and go over my medical information. Dr. Yu has a very gentle touch unlike most surgeons who are quite rough with your face. Dr. Yu listened to everything I had to share, and did not rush my appointment. He was patient and extremely empathetic. He made me feel safe and not like a means to pay the bills. Dr. Yu explained the two procedures I went in for throughly, and used layman terms so I could understand the process of what him and the collaborative surgeon will be performing on me. I can't express enough how safe, and educated I felt after my appointment.Dr. Yu is actually my second opinion for expansion surgery. I had gone to another doctor for expansion and he did not make me feel an ounce of empathy or compassion, nor did he have a good bedside manner.I cannot express enough how safe, heard, seen, and comfortable I felt with Dr. Yu and his team. It is so important for doctors to treat their patients like human beings and be able to connect with them, and that is exactly what Dr. Yu and his team did. I am so happy I went for a second opinion and look forward to entrusting Dr. Yu with my healthcare.

I sought Dr. Hang after doing a version of myofunctional therapy in Phoenix and another dentist recommending him as the next step if I wanted to further expand my mouth and ultimately my face since both were very narrow. I had had braces as a teenager, and then Invisalign in my 20s. My teeth were relatively straight going into my 30s but were definitely a little crooked. My goal with the braces that Dr. Hang provided was mostly aesthetic: broader smile, broader face, better looks. I thought that by forcing my mouth open with thick wires and expanders that this would give me what I desired. However, I did not think about the consequences that would happen with using manipulating my teeth and mouth with force as a fully-grown adult versus growing child. I had initially started feeling bodily discomfort just a few months into the treatment. I did not think too much of it, as the pandemic was going on. However, the discomfort did not go away. When we added the expanders, that's when the discomfort worsened. What was even more was that the goal I was initially going for was turned upside down. Instead of the expanders broadening my face, I would look in the mirror and actually notice that my face appeared thinner and longer. I suffered through it just until my teeth were fully straight and pushed for them to be taken off. It has been about 1.5 years since I got the braces off. I no longer wear the retainer after just a few months due to the side effects I still felt in my body. My teeth have not even shifted that much. However, ever since I have been doing different varieties of physical therapy because I still have discomfort and pain in my body. I tell this story not to bash this practice as they were professional, but as a cautionary tale for someone similar to me: a grown adult wanting to expand their smile/mouth/face. Through all of what I have learned, I would much recommend doing natural physical therapies such as cranial sacral therapy, myofunctional therapy (Joy Moeller), gyrotonix and pilates. These are much less intense ways to bring your body into alignment and help reach the best physical version of yourself. I know I had physical imbalances in my body before, but can speak with strong conviction that the braces and expanders this practice provided made the imbalances worse and tightened up my whole entire body. Through the more natural therapies mentioned above, I have made much progress with the damage done. Although this was my own fault and I am paying for my own vanity, I caution anyone to get these very intensive braces and expanders, especially as a grown adult.

Right away you're treated like family. Both Mrs Hang and Dr Hang were so personable and informative and both my son and I were treated with the utmost courtesy and respect. Like he says, "I treat the patient, not the teeth." Indeed he does and we were educated at a whole different level about orthodontics and what can be done to not only aesthetically make you look better, but breathe better and in my son's case, even sing better. I am so grateful that a friend of the family highly recommended Dr. Hang before we made a rather big and costly mistake somewhere else. Thank you thank you. We're so excited to be another future success story of Dr. Hang's!

The best! They really listen and make sure you are comfortable during procedures!I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to get my previous extractions reversed. I will forever be grateful for all the help that I received from the team! Not only does my mouth/jaw/tongue feel so much better but my lips look alot fuller too. That's a bonus haha 😄

This was such an informative consult with Dr. Hang and his team. It was easily worth the 6-hour, round trip commute! What was amazing to me was that instead of talking us into braces, he recognized where it wasn’t going to be as necessary for 2 of our 4 children, and didn’t hesitate to share that if they were happy with their smiles, there wasn’t a structural need for correction. I could tell that Dr. Hang and his staff had genuine concern for our family. I would recommend his office to anyone, but especially those with complex issues, as he can save a lot of agony by calling for the correct treatment the first time. I found booking and communicating with Dr. Hang's office to be uniquely pleasant. The office itself, when we arrived for our appointment was serene, bright, and warm. The staff made us feel very welcome and they seemed very patient with us, answering our questions and explaining everything to us as we went. We drove a decent distance (a few hours) to see Dr. Hang because of his expertise and experience- and it was well worth the effort. I already called and recommended Dr. Hang to two families (friends of mine) during the drive home after our initial appt.! We will commence treatment with them in a month, but my first impression is especially positive.
