I moved from Louisiana to the Austin area 17 years ago. I researched dentists in the area and found Dr.Matt. The reviews I found were all positive and since he was also from Louisiana, my decision was made. Both my husband and I are his patients. Dr. Matt is patient, friendly, keeps up with the newest advances in dentistry and genuinely cares for his patients. Mia and Tiffany are wonderful. I highly recommend Dr.Matt.

Incredible first visit! I have been struggling with TMJ issues to the point of looking into surgery and Dr.Matt has created a plan for me that will help alleviate the pain, and potentially avoid surgery altogether. I really look forward to working with this team. Also Mia is such a boss and really helps find insurance coverage if it’s possible. All around fantastic office.

Shane Matt, D.D.S., at Authentic Smiles really knows his stuff: he knows the history, and the fact from the fiction. He set me on the right track. He's also a great guy and supportive member of the community here in Austin; the coolest dentist since Doc Holliday, really, not to mention a far superior dentist to Doc (who, let's face it, lived in the stone age as far as dentistry was concerned). Aside from that, the office staff are very knowledgeable and personable, and you really feel welcome and well taken care of; top notch all around.

Dr. Matt and his staff are wonderful! They are extremely knowledgeable in the area of dentistry as they are very helpful in preventing future gum or teeth issues or treating them if it comes to that point. The location of their office is more centrally located then when they were in Westlake. Folks that use public transportation should have a much easier time getting to their office or folks that drive can get their parking validated by Dr. Matt's office folks. Parking is taken care of when parking in the garage just next to their office on San Antonio St. Excellent experience every time I go! Keep it up!!!

I love Dr Matt, Brianna, and everyone else who works here. I originally went to a place off Texas 360 loop and after spending $2500 and visiting 5 times they quoted me a whopping $60k to fix my very mild TMJ issues! After hitting the floor I found Dr Matt. With one $75 consultation he outlined a plan that would fix all my issues for under $10k. The staff is always friendly and kind, and Dr Matt is gentle and spends time explaining anything needing explaining. I cannot recommend this clinic enough!

I saw Dr Matt in an emergency when my regular dentist was unavailable. On a Friday by himself, he repaired two broken front teeth with no knowledge or x-rays of how they appeared previously. He did a solid job that was further perfected on a subsequent visit, and has been my regular dentist ever since. His knowledge and passion of the trade is unparalleled in my experience, with an enjoyable personality that all of his staff share as well.

I recently had cosmetic work and fillings done with Dr. Matt, Mia and team. I am so happy with this practice and am so glad I have switched to them. They care and treat you like a person and truly want you to be happy. I highly recommend them. I was just about to get work done with another dentist and I felt so "sold". I happen to be in sales and I would never treat someone like that. I got a bad taste in my mouth (haha) and learned about Authentic Smiles. I went and met with them and decided to switch over.
