Despite saying they have a wheelchair accessible entrance as noted in my screenshot, they do NOT have an accessible entrance. I called the business to ask if they had a ramp and the lady quickly shut me down saying "they're not the owners" and they "... were grandfathered in".... grandfathered into discrimination? She suggested I go to another location close by, but that is aside from the point. It is unethical (for a medical practice mind you) and illegal to not have an accessible entrance. I will be filing an ADA complaint so hopefully some proper solutions get put in place.

Checkin was a breeze. Start time has always been exactly as scheduled, no delays. Dr. Stocker and the team of doctors and assistants are as gentle your teeth and as professional and personable as you could ever want. Plus, they pay special attention to using products, bonding agents, fillings, etc that are non-toxic. You would think every dentist would be doing this, but you’d be surprised to find out just how many haven’t upgraded to more modern, healthy alternatives.

Smile Haus is a fantastic dental practice. I followed Dr. Stocker from his last practice whom I've been with for over 10 years, he is just the best.My current higenist Kyanna is so sweet and makes teeth cleaning fun.I am currently going through Invisalign treatment with Dr. Wharton and her assistant Nora. They have such a kind and patient demenor that makes the process a breeze.Last but not least, the front desk staff is always efficient and super nice.Great job Smile Haus!!

My dentist retired after I went to him for 35 years and I was devastated! My neighbor recommended Smile Haus and I went for my initial exam this morning and was SO relieved! Smile Haus did my cleaning, thorough oral assessment, a small filling, adjusted my nighttime Nightguard, approved an extraction that I have scheduled in three days, and got me going on my whitening routine! Phew! Efficient and effective! I had a sigh of relief as I left the office. I’m back on track with a wonderful new dentist!

I saw Dr. Stocker for a long time but after he closed his own clinic and move to Smile Haus, I decided to find something closer to either my house or the office so that I don't need to travel to see him....Very bad decision...Over the past two years, I saw the other dentists and some were trying to charge something that are not necessary with some fancy tools/x-ray/camera and some just did OK jobs....so I decided to just come back to see Dr. Stocker again....It is like coming back home and Dr. Stocker is still doing excellent jobs, and so are his nurse and hygienist...Highly recommend Dr. Stocker to take care of your teeth...and I am sure I will not move away from him again

My family was first referred to Dr. Stocker 15 years ago for the “gentle touch” dental experience, and we’ve been grateful to remain healthy, enthusiastic Smile Haus patients, in the thorough but unobtrusive care of Dr. Stocker and all the staff. My kids, now almost grown, have never shied away from their checkups here. We appreciate the flexibility and ease of scheduling appointments, the clean and cozy office, friendly, personalized treatments, acceptance of dental insurance and reasonable prices. Highly recommend.

As someone who did not have health insurance for years and could not afford to go to a dentist which lead to issues with my gums and teeth, these people are amazing. After years of being a student and waiting tables I finally was able to find a job that provided me with health insurance. My first appointment with smile-haus I explain that I knew my teeth would not be in good condition because I had not been to the dentist on year. Instead of giving me a hard time about my issues, they said the most important thing was I was here now. They went and made a treatment plan and explained all the steps need to be taken. I am someone who never developed a couple of adult teeth to push out my baby teeth and they needed to be removed .During the extraction of these baby teeth, the doctors were patient with the time it took to get my mouth numb enough for the procedure. They also let me keep the teeth, which I had made into a ring. The next step in the treatment plan was scale and rooting. The hygienist was very understanding and patient with me fear of the procedure. The entire staff is wondering. They also scheduled appointments through texts and if you are like me and hate talking on the phone, that is a relief.

Local and well run practice. They offer a membership plan that helps incentivize care and prevention for patients that’s been really helpful. They work quickly, are friendly, and are very deliberate about discussing treatment plans and pricing.Only downside is the office is booked months in advance, so planning ahead is key.

12/04/23Had cleaning done this morning. I felt very well taken care of!As always, Dr. Stocker and the staff at Smile Haus provided the best care!Dr Stocker always has a warm welcoming greeting and did a thorough exam. The hygienist was efficient and did the cleaning neatly with no mess!Thank you to Dr Stocker and the staff at Smile Haus for the wonderful service and care! If anyone is looking for a dentist, I would highly recommend!!10/17/2022I am writing an update on my previous review.Today I have a cleaning done, and again after the cleaning was done by a friendly hygienist, Dr. Stocker checked my teeth, tounge, gum and jaw thoroughly after the cleaning procedure was done to make sure everything is OK, as always. He also had great advices and suggestions for me as I am going to have a knee surgery in a few weeks. We couldn’t be happier with Dr Stocker, who is very efficient, straight forward, meticulous, honest and caring. He is the best! We feel so fortunate that he is still practicing and wish him to do so for decades to come! :-) We really do not want him to stop practicing dentistry!Smile house is very a friendly dental clinic and customer service is wonderful. I needed to change my appointment forward due to my upcoming surgery, and the staff who received my call was very helpful and accommodating.I really like the small, warm and cozy yet fresh and airy house setting, as it does not feel like most dental clinic that feels like unwelcome stuffy or boring waiting area or practice room.It reminds me of Dr. Stocker’s previous location. As for the billing related to the past visit, they sent me a refund not long afterwards. All is good!Older review (May 2022)Smile Haus has a wonderful atmosphere and is a friendly dental house. I like the fresh feel and bright with window which allows natural light of the waiting area of the house.Dr. Stocker and Jessica is super helpful and welcoming with friendly smiles every time I visited.Dr. Stocker is a patient and thorough dentist!I feel lucky that he was on my dental insurance provider list. My family have been seeing him for many years, and we are very happy with him.The only regret was that I wished I found him sooner!Hope he stays in his practice as long as he can!Cons:Smile Haus billing/payment:I did not understand when I was charged close to 45% of the total dental service fee, even though my dental insurance covers 65 - 80%.When asked, I was told that if the insurance covers more, I would get a refund. At the end, 3 1/2 weeks later, I got the refund. Still, I preferred not to be charged more than necessary and worrying if I would get my refund..

Dr. Stocker has been my dentist for the last 14 years. I have never had to pay for the usual x-rays or dental treatment until my last visit. I went in, x-rays, cleaning, told them I was moving out of state so no need for another appointment. When I went to check out I was told I had a balance of $132. I asked why the charge as I have never had to pay. They told me that my dental insurance was out of network. I went ahead and paid the $132. I called my insurance and they stated that the dentist on my last several claims was a dentist I have never heard of or seen. I asked if this was fraud and without outright saying yes the rep insinuated it was a technique for dental offices to charge more for routine visits. I asked if Dr. Stocker was an in-network dentist and she said he was until 6 months ago. I called Smilehaus back and the person who answered the phone said that they charge all claims through this mysterious dentist and not through Dr. Stocker. I told her it was fraudulent and she asked if I wanted to speak to the office manager and I said yes. After a moment I was hung up on with no callback. I have thought about filing a claim with my credit card company and filing a complaint with the Texas State Board of Examineers and the Texas Department of Insurance. I should have been notified that I was out of network prior to my appointment and not after services were rendered. Stay away from this dental clinic.Update: a couple of days after posting this review I received a phone call from the office manager. After explaining my frustration with their office failure to notify that my insurance and their office was out of network she said she would review my file and contact me back. Well as of mid November I haven't heard from her or any member from her office. I highly recommend Dr Stocker but not this dental office. He was wonderful during the years he had his own practice.
