Benicia Oral Surgery & Implantology

The oral surgeon was super nice explained everything in detail for me to understand and went above and beyond by trying to call my son's orthodontist and leaving his personal cell phone number for the orthodontist to contact him so he they could come up with the best solution for my son's interesting situation. They did an awesome job making me feel more comfortable about this whole process.

I would not recommend coming here, especially if you're paired with Dr. Riley. The office receptionist staff are extremely rude and rescheduled my consultation without notifying me, and I didn't find out that my appointment was rescheduled until days before the consultation was originally scheduled for. The day before my surgery, their office called my partner at 4:30pm while I was in an appointment which is 30 minutes after their office closed saying they had questions about my health and would call back in 30 minutes. Luckily my partner got the surgeon's (Dr. Riley's) personal phone number because we never received a call back like promised. When I called the surgeon (Dr. Riley,) he said that my doctor had to write them a letter clearing me for to be put on anesthesia or he can't preform the surgery. When I explained to him that I couldn't get him that letter because he called after my doctors office business hours, he insisted that we reschedule the surgery that I had scheduled and requested time off of work for months prior to this phone call. When I told him that I could not reschedule and that I needed to have the surgery the next day as scheduled he said that he would have to preform the surgery with me awake. I live 2 hours away and had to go to my doctors office as soon as they opened the day of my surgery to get the letter to clear me to be put under anesthesia. If the staff in my doctors office wouldn't have rushed to get everything together and my doctor wouldn't have had an emergency appointment with me, I would've missed my surgery because I had to sit in the doctors office for an hour and then drive 2 hours to get there. This was extremely unprofessional because the surgeon had months to ask about his concerns and waited until less than 24 hours before my surgery after all doctors offices had closed for the day INCLUDING the office that I would be getting the surgery. I wouldn't recommend Dr. Riley or Benicia Oral Surgery to ANYONE! My partner was going to go here for his wisdom teeth removal, but he is cancelling his appointments with them due to their unprofessionalism and ignorance.

Was so nervous to get my wisdom teeth but everyone there was supper nice , reassuring and talk you thru everything and the purpose of everything they do ! Didn’t feel a thing during the extractions. They honestly made everything so better ! While under anesthesia I heard them say how adorable I was and they are my favorite people now lol.

I have never experienced forgiveness and patience at most dental offices let alone any medical appointment, except for Benicia Oral surgery. I was very pleased with the help and support I received from the staff to assist me with my referral and insurance card. They gave me updates on wait times and they were patient with all the questions I asked. I can tell Dr.Clayman and his staff take pride in being knowledgeable with every case, I was also appreciative of the education that was discussed about my oral hygiene and procedure expectations. Although I’m not excited to have any oral work done, I feel confident with recovery and I know I will be in good hands.

Traumatic extraction along with dry socket and poor communication. Along with the traumatic extraction I was not prescribed any pain medication. 3 days go by and I visit the ER with traumatic wisdom teeth area pain. Finally prescribed antibiotics and pain meds. Don't know why this wasn't prescribed before but I'm very unsatisfied. I heard this place was good and seemed to have good reviews but it's been 7 days and I still have no feeling my lower lip and chip on the lower left extraction site. I was told it was.from nerve damage from dental negligence. Be careful. I'm visiting tomorrow for a solution hopefully it goes smoothly.

The staff was so compassionate. They went above and beyond to assist my elderly, disabled aunt in obtaining a usable X-ray. The dentist assessed my aunt's entire medical situation and suggested a less traumatic, intrusive course of action. The front office staff was equally patient and kind. I can't say enough about my experience with Benicia Oral surgery. I choose this office to handle all my families oral surgery needs.

Came in today for what we thought was a wisdom tooth extraction. There were dozens of people waiting for their appts. No one explained to my daughter-in-law that this was a consultation. Drive from an hour away for them to make you sit forever for your appt. When i asked the employee how long for the procedure, she was like we explain that when we schedule, and today is just a consultation. Her authorization will take another 3-6 weeks. I explained to her that no one explained anything to her either when her appt was made or any other time they spoke to her. She just stared at me irritated. I get that they are busy, but overscheduling to the point of more than a dozen people waiting outside with a waiting room that only fits 4 people is just rediculous.

I really don't understand much about the procedure to remove wisdom teeth, I had my first appointment by referral from another doctor to remove teeth, but I made my appointment and it lasted 1 hour to go in with the doctor and when my turn came, it didn't last even 10 minutes inside and it was only to see a video of the procedure with the consequences, and the doc came in and said wait 2 to 6 weeks for your next appointment that was it 🤷🏻‍♀️ it's too long to wait for my surgery.

Look I am always honest in my reviews, that you can count on. This business is well run, very organized, Theresa the receptionist/ assistant was very helpful, and kind. As we're all of the staff. The Doctor was very good explaining everything,and taking time to answer all my questions. He explained things in a manner I could understand. My one complaint about this business is, my appointment was at 2:45 pm I was not seen until after 4:30 pm. When I asked about it, I was told " we are doing a lot of procedures today,and your appointment is just an estimated time we " might be ready for you " that's not what my understanding of an appointment is. I can understand waiting 30 or 40 minutes past your appointment, but over 2 hours? Otherwise great place very knowledgeable and friendly. They charge $100 for any cancellations in less than 24 hours,so be prepared. If you have other appointments or kid's to pick up don't rely on getting out of here on time.

The staff was super kind including the doctor & made me feel really comfortable during the surgery process. I struggle with severe anxiety but thankfully the staff were making jokes and not making things seem like a big deal which helped keep me calm. I highly recommend this office for wisdom teeth removal and will definitely be recommending to others!
