Beware and find a different dentist! This past Friday night, I called to book an appointment for 11 AM Saturday. I was told they accepted my insurance and that there would be a $250 emergency fee to have a weekend appointment. After booking the appointment by phone, I researched a bit more into this business. Behind all the positive reviews, there were some recent and negative reviews that had me concerned (Also check BBB, Healthgrades, and Yelp). Additionally, they have an F rating with the Better Business Bureau. They have also been explicitly mentioned in the news for having fake positive reviews. Not wanting to be oversold, overcharged, and possibly ruin my teeth, I decided to cancel my appointment. 20 minutes after receiving their confirmation text, I called and texted back to cancel my appointment. I was told that the usual cancelation fee was just the $250 emergency fee mentioned above. I canceled anyways as I didn't want to give them more money or risk my dental health. Turns out that they charged me $500 that night. I assumed this was a hold of some sort for the appointment, but after speaking with my bank, they did in fact immediately charge $500. In summary, I made an appointment for the following day. I cancelled the appointment 20 minutes after it was confirmed. I never went to their office. I was charged $500 after being told it would be $250. I can only imagine what scam they would have tried to pull if the dentist actually got into my mouth. Edit. Since the business has doubled down that they didn't tell me $250 on the phone, I would like to add that you can search up Zakhor's license number (57904) and see he has been publicly reproved by the Dental Board of California.

I had an amazing experience at Zakhor Dental Group with Dr. Mansour Zakhor and his incredible team. The office is exceptionally clean, modern, and welcoming, making it a trustworthy place for dental care. The staff are super nice, professional, and attentive, ensuring the entire process was smooth and stress-free. What stood out the most was the advanced technology they use, which made the entire experience painless and efficient. It’s clear that they stay up to date with the latest techniques, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision to come here. I would 100% recommend Zakhor Dental Group to anyone looking for top-notch dental care. They truly go above and beyond!

While I wish I had met Dr. Zakhor under different circumstances (I had a fall that led to a cracked tooth), I was unbelievably impressed by his work and his entire team. I was a little shaken up coming for emergency dental work; they were able to take me within an hour or calling— and immediately helped to put my mind at ease. The procedure was clearly communicated and everyone involved was very accommodating and professional. They genuinely cared about me… understanding what happened, how I was holding up, etc— and did phenomenal work. Highly recommended.

I can’t speak highly enough about my experience with Dr. Zakhor and his staff. Let’s start before I even got in the office. I was able to get an appointment within 24 hours, something absolutely impossible in LA nowadays. From the moment, I entered the office, I knew I had made the right choice. I was greeted by his front desk staff, assistants, and even Dr. Zakhor himself. He came and set next to me just to chat. I was quickly roomed, examined, and treated. I felt absolutely ZERO pain or discomfort throughout the whole process—it was amazing. Dr. Zakhor and his assistant chatted with me throughout entire procedure, which made things so pleasant. The work I had done was impeccable. My tooth’s appearance looks as if I had nothing done—it matches the surrounding teeth perfectly. He avoided unnecessarily painful numbing and checked in with me every 5-10 seconds to see if I felt anything. I didn’t feel a thing! I have never experienced a painless dentist’s visit before. Better yet, I made it out within an hour. I have never had a better experience with a dentist, and I could not recommend Dr. Zakhor more. It’s definitely worth the time and the visit; you won’t regret it!

I’ve been a patient here for years (since 2017), and I am grateful to have found a dentist/team I can consistently trust. Everyone at Dr. Zakhor's office is kind and professional. I get top notch care, little to no wait time (because we schedule in advance), and I feel safe closing my eyes — anybody who has high anxiety knows just how hard that is to do at the dentist!
