Eastman Periodontics & Implants

I wish I could give more than 5 stars. Dr. Eastman and his team are the most hospitable and sincere professionals in this field and I have had outstanding service through physical procedures as well as regular interaction. Dr. Eastman’s office was recommended to me by my regular dentist who noticed my moderate anxiety surrounding periodontal (as well as all medical) procedures. Dr. Eastman, while taking extensive care to ensure my comfort, diagnosed my issues and performed surgery, completely fulfilling his promise to restore my oral hygiene. Not only does my mouth feel significantly better, but personally, I feel better having somewhere I can be comfortable and know my needs are accommodated. I genuinely wish Dr. Eastman could be my doctor in all specialized occupations, as he is the first professional to match my pace and thoroughly explain my conditions, their causes and effects, his solution, and the projected outcome(s) to best prepare me for how I may feel after a treatment. Furthermore, by no means has Dr. Eastman or his team ever indicated that they are “in it for the money”. I have only ever had my individual needs put first, whether that means recommending me to another business, or helping me find ways to make my treatment as affordable as possible. The passion and dedication for dentistry and customer service held by the staff at this office is plainly apparent. Additionally, the facility is very clean and each operating chair is secluded so that you are not visible to others during your appointment. The consideration by Dr. Eastman and his team is most commendable and I cannot recommend their business enough.

I came to Dr. Eastman looking for a second opinion after another periodontist told me I had to have several teeth extracted, that I had so much bone loss that implants were impossible, and that I'd need major gum surgery regardless. I am afraid of anything dental related on a good day and this news set me into a downward spiral of fear. Enter Dr. E and his wonderful hygenist Bobbi. They allayed all of my fears and were able to fix my problem with NO SURGERY and NO EXTRACTIONS. They went above and beyond in figuring out my unique situation and providing the level of sedation (and handholding!!) that I needed to be comfortable (both physically and emotionally). In fact, in just a couple of months with them (one deep scaling and a followup cleaning), my gums are healthy. Dr. Eastman and staff are the best of the best. I'm moving out of state but I love this practice so much and I'm so grateful for their care that I'm going to fly back once a quarter for my followups. I wish I could give them 10 stars!

My husband had an initial appointment with Dr. Justin Craighead, and then a follow-up meeting with his technician, Brett, to discuss the details of some rather complex proposed periodontal surgery. The doctor, and Brett especially, explained the procedure to us more thoroughly and clearly than either of us have ever gotten from any other dentist. This was truly outstanding and gives us great confidence and assurance moving forward,

I love Dr. Eastman’s office. I had surgery several years ago. They were kind and compassionate and did an excellent job. What other dr sends you get well flowers? Since then, I have been seeing Bobby for my cleanings. She is happy every visit and always remembers me. It is like seeing a good friend every time. She is extremely competent and does not hurt! 😀 Thank you very much!

Had the final surgery for the completion of two implants on February 1st. As always the staff is very professional, welcoming me as soon as I arrived and making sure I knew I was checked in.The procedure performed by Dr Craighead and his assistants went very smoothly, with everyone making sure I was comfortable and felt no discomfort.Everyone was top notch but I must make a special commendation for Kelsey who prepared me for the procedure. Never has anyone ever been so gentle in administering the local anesthetic. I felt absolutely no discomfort and she checked with me every couple of minutes to make sure of it! Professional, friendly, concerned and with a sense of humor. A true gem!

Dr. Eastman and his team are awesome! Every step of the way I felt comfortable and at ease. He (and they) explained everything with clarity and kindness. It’s clear to me that Dr. Eastman has a passion for his profession and wants to share his knowledge with his staff. A great teacher and awesome periodontist!! I would highly recommend him.

I found Eastman Periodontics after moving from Michigan, where I had used a local periodontist there. The difference is night and day. The entire team is caring and knowledgeable and I would never think of using another periodontist.My hygienist Bobbi takes great care of me every time I visit - she is a true gem.

Can't say enough wonderful things about Drs Eastman and especially Dr Craighead. My experience over the last couple years has been nothing but incredible. Nobody likes to have any type of periodontal conditions but my life has changed in a way I couldnt imagine. I cant still stress enough that peridontal conditions are nothing to be ignored. And there is nobody in Manatee or Sarasota County that I would recommend beyond Drs Eastman and Dr Craighead.Thank you for taking care of me but also educating me!

When I met Bobby 2 ½ years ago, I was apprehensive; where I come from, dental cleaning was done by my periodontist who was good, but the procedure was so painful that the 45 minute session felt like eternity. Bobby showed me how it’s done right, gently yet effectively! She’s a joy to see 4 times a year and truly deserves all the possible kudos!

I have been going to this office for almost 6 years and Dr. Christie has done 2 wonderful surgeries! Her team treats me with such kindness and compassion! My dental hygienist, Bobbi is amazing! She saved my bottom teeth and continues to help me with my periodontal care. I would highly recommend Eastman-Craighead periodontics and the team!
