My whole experience with this office was terrible.. From the initial visit where I was surprised with an $89 consultation fee, to the fact that they do not even attempt to pre-authorize your insurance for what you might be on the hook for. Their standard practice is to charge you in full up front, and then let you take it up with your insurance company after. In December 2020 I had to fight with them to pre-authorize my insurance and even then, when I was given a dollar amount that I was responsible for and paid it, it turns out that my insurance didn't cover what they had supposedly pre-authorized and they NEVER billed me.. No follow up bill was ever sent and now, fast forward to August of 2022 and they're calling me repeatedly for a balance due on my account. Why have I not seen a bill for these supposed charges?

I have had ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE experiences with other dentists. I needed an extraction done on a back molar but with extreme underlying conditions, I was VERY apprehensive on finding a great dentist. I saw a post for dental referrals in a neighborhood group I belong to. Someone suggested Dr. Patel at Root Periodontal in Carrollton.From the first phone call, I could tell they were different! The most pleasant, courteous and helpful front office staff ever! Dr. Patel wasn't available. My general dentist is really nice but Dr. Laura Rabe is REALLY REALLY a jewel!!She LISTENED to my concerns and put me at complete ease that even after finding out they weren't in network, I STILL had the work done there. The post care of follow up calls was refreshing.I hope I never have to have anything as serious done again but if I do, I'm going nowhere else but to Root and requesting Dr. Rabe!

I was referred to ROOT Periodontal because I needed an implant that required a sinus lift, and so a specialist was necessary. My experience with ROOT was great! Dr. Rabe did my procedure and made me feel very comfortable throughout the process. She personally called me before and after the procedure to check in, made sure I was at ease with the level of sedation being used, and communicated everything really clearly. This was also the easiest recovery I have ever had from a dental procedure - virtually no pain, and it healed really quickly! I highly recommend Dr. Rabe and ROOT Periodontal & Implant Center.

Dr. Husain is the first doctor that has proved she can read tests. Since being attacked in 1998, I had gone to too many dentists with mouth pain. Dr. Husain was the first one ever who listened and understood my complaint instead of laughing at me and calling me a liar. Even if she only examined one of the teeth that were of concern to me, she resolved the issue of that one tooth. My life has changed thanks to specific extraction and I continue my search to seek the answers and peace of mind to the other teeth.

Dr. Rabe was the BEST. I had several traumatic experiences with other dentist to where I was soooooo terrified.Dr. Rabe made me feel safe.She spoke in depth about what she'd be doing and gave her opinions based on my health issues in regards to which sedation would be best.Her assistant, Alisha Breckinridge was FABULOUS. She helped me relax more than she knows.Thank y'all sooooo much.I didn't feel anything during the procedure.The week prior I was with seeing another dentist for an emergency regarding the same molar. He gave me 6 shots and I STILL felt him. He told me I had an infection and recommended me to smoke a blunt prior to my next visit to remove the molar.I was so terrified and I was blessed to have my wife find Dr. Rabe and her staff.Y'all are the best.

Dr and staff are amazing, all the positive reviews are spot on. Most places that I have gone to the last 10 years do the bare minimum for time reasons and try to upsell you on everything. Not the folks at Root, they take the time to do even the basic things right. I was long overdue for a good cleaning and while almost every one else would have charged for a deep cleaning they just did a cleaning, not the cleaning that you get at dentist nowadays it felt like the cleanings that were given 20 years ago. Great doctor and great staff!

I visit Dr. Patel's office every eight months for cleaning and scaling after a gum procedure several years ago. While the procedure is always not the "most fun thing I do", I find the staff very welcoming and friendly. My surgery was done by Dr. Steinberg, but I met Dr. Patel as soon as he joined the practice. You couldn't find a more friendly and warm personality. Today I had a new gal cleaning my teeth and she was awesome! Her name was Karen!

Dr. Patel and staff were the most profession Dental staff I have ever experienced. I Received 4 implants after having all upper teeth removed as well as some other work. The total procedure was about 6-1/2 hours. Dr. Patel personally called me that night and the next day to check on me. That level of care was impressive. I didn't have much pain or swelling considering the procedure. I would highly recommend Dr. Patel and Root Dental for implant surgery. Thanks, Ralph Szabo
