Billing here is deceptive and fraudulent. I went in as a new patient for standard x-rays and cleaning and to my surprise received a bill for about $250 a few weeks later. I have never had to pay for this before as my insurance covers 100% but the amount they billed to my insurance was about $800 as opposed to my previous dentist about 15 minutes away only billing $240 for cleaning and x-rays (literally the exact same service and equipment). Insurance company refused to pay full amounts because the charges are ridiculous so the dentist went ahead and sent me the bill! Called today and was told the manager will reach out to me in 5 days. To top if off the exam and x-rays that are advertised as $129 for new patients on their website was billed to my insurance as $556 and they had the excuse that it was for non-insured patients only (which it does not say on their website). Would have been cheaper for me to say I am uninsured in that case? Will reconsider my review if it is resolved as the cleaning and staff were nice but to bill nearly 4 times what my previous dentist did for exact same service is simply a scam.

My husband and I have been patients here for six years now. We both love it- they do great work and it’s a calm safe environment. We moved to the suburbs over a year ago now and we both decided to keep coming to City Smiles. I have some dental anxiety and am happy to have found a place that makes me very comfortable and not anxious to visit the dentist.

I will not go anywhere else in the city! I live in Old Town and there are ELEVEN dentists within eight blocks of my building. The drive to Irving Park is well worth my time. This is BY FAR the cleanest, friendliest and most professional dental office I’ve ever been to. My experience, however, has been strictly with Dr. Patel over the past 9 years or so. The hygienists are amazing as well! They thoroughly explain any issues I may have, what needs to be addressed and how to properly maintain my teeth moving forward. Their pricing is extremely reasonable for the work performed. Obviously I highly recommend City Smiles.

Dr. Patel and her assistant were incredible. I had a badly infected tooth that was very painful and they handled it with the utmost professionalism and patience that one could ask for. I have a small mouth and a low threshold for pain and even though it took awhile cuz of my limitations, they got the tooth out and im on my way to recovery. Thank you so much, best dental experience I’ve ever had.

Brought my son who is nervous about getting cleanings done to this office. Very welcoming, patient, and understanding. As soon as you enter you’re greeted & welcomed by the front desk! Fast forward, my son needed a break here and there and the hygienist (Damaris) didn’t pressure him to continue, she would pause and give him a small break. They worked together to get through his cleaning. Dr rotkvich, a funny and gentle doctor! If you’re looking for a dentist office this place is it!

Realized I should have written this a few years back, but I warn people all the time about how misleading this office is in working with your insurance.I was referred to this dentist by a friend, and when I asked if they take BCBS they said they did.Following my appointment, I was grossly overcharged for X-rays. When I called to ask about the charges, they said the reason they were so expensive is because they are not in BCBS network. I asked “do you accept BCBS” and they chose to place the blame on me for not saying specifically “are you in the BCBS network?”What a scam.

If I had known it was going to be so great here, I would’ve made time to get here years ago. Every single person was so nice. Anna and Adriana were incredibly patient and supportive with my anxiety and tendency to “gag” and constantly reassured me that I was doing great. Dr Patel was super nice while being detailed in her explanations and Diana was the same in explaining the charges and appointments.Nice the hear laughter through the office while my teeth are being worked on...sounds like everyone enjoys working together.Follow up 9/19/22 - saw Amanda last Friday and she couldn’t have been nicer!

I am terrified of Dentists. I had massive tooth pain and found City Smiles on line. They got me in the next day. Dr. Koch and her assistant were wonderful. Tooth was extracted and I didn't feel a thing. Dr. Koch was so nice and comforting knowing that I was scared and nervous.Even the ladies at the front desk were wonderful. I have a lot more work to be done so I definitely going back to them. Such a joy to be able to find a dentist office you feel comfortable with. City Smiles has been our family dentist for 23 years, since they were Simon and Simon. I’m always happy to recommend them to friends. Whenever I come in, it’s apparent that they are keeping up with changes in dentistry, from equipment to little things, like whatever they put on my teeth to eliminate any pain from sensitivity during cleaning. They take time to answer questions, are friendly, the office is clean and comfortable. We’re very happy with them.

I’m traveling for work and developed tooth pain. They got me in immediately. The staff was, to a one, amazing. They were consummate professionals while treating me with kindness and compassion. Alice, Margarita, and Dr. Simon provided an exceptional level of service and care. The office was lovely, peaceful, comfortable and clean.
