Lakeview Smiles - Bucktown

This review is long awaited. I went to this place some years ago, they had perfect 5 star reviews, I was so naive. (Please look at the Yelp reviews, those are more honest than the ones here on Google.) Dr. Raoof would tell me I needed to have fillings done and didn't care to show and explain why with the x-rays. She did various unnecessary fillings where she just scraped the top of some molars and put some fillings that were just straight up flat and weren't shaped to the original shape of my molars.This one particular time she filled a pre molar with a cavity that was behind a previous filling. She allowed for it to grow instead of treating it on time. I used to go every six months so for her to out of the blue then finally show me the x-ray with an obvious cavity was bewildering. As a dentist you should want to catch a cavity early and not let it grow.I made an appointment to get the cavity removed. Dr. Raoof always had the habit to chat with the hygienist about life instead of doing her job. During this appointment she asked the hygienist"is the cavity gone yet?". The cavity was on the side of the tooth but she managed to drill that side and also the top of the tooth.On top of that, the filling for that particular pre molar was horribly placed considering food would get stuck.With this in mind, I went and made another appointment and she told me that I would have to get a root canal and crown for it to be fixed considering the filling was too close to the nerve (I wonder why that may be). I insisted she redo the filling considering there was still some of my natural tooth left between the root and filling. It wasn't a lot but there was some. I even told her to leave some of the existing filling to prevent hitting the nerve, I didn't want a root canal; she got mad at me and stormed off. Never have I experienced this type of unprofessionalism at a dentist.At that time I was around 19-21 years old. Never have I had so many "teeth problems" before going to this place and after going here they magically stopped. People need to stop caring about the aesthetics of the place, the hospitality, and fake smiles and instead focus on whether or not you are being scammed.I have invested a lot of straight up cash into Lakeview Smiles only to have my health damaged by this company. In conclusion, my premolar was refilled by another dentist and the root canal nor crown was needed. Unfortunately, that pre molar is highly compromised and in the near future I will need both of that root canal and crown; for now everything is fine. My oral health is in worst conditions than what it was before I ever even knew about this place and I will barely be 23 years old. Now the rating here on Google is a 4.7 and it is only dropping. Please for the love of God do not go to Dr. Raoof she genuinely has no idea what she is doing as a dentist and just loves to be right even thought she is not at all.

If you’re in the market for a new dentist- choose this place.This whole office is amazing. Everyone is professional, nice and easy to talk to/work with. Rama is beyond friendly and does a fabulous job gently cleaning my sensitive teeth. Dr. Raoof is so knowledgeable, will patiently educate and answer question and is constantly learning more herself to better serve patients.

I have had two outstanding experiences so far with Lakeview Smiles. Everyone at the practice is an absolute professional. Daisy at the front office will do all she can to ensure you are comfortable and was even able to reschedule me from the lakeview office to the Bucktown office in less than five minutes after I realized I booked the wrong location. My deep cleaning was thorough and my hygienist was able to clean effectively in less than an hour and a half without using injectable numbing medication (only topical) and it was pain free!I used to see the same dentist for over 25 years who recently retired, and I am absolutely pleased with my new dentist here at Lakeview Smiles. I highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for a deep cleaning or new dentist!

DO NOT GO HERE. Everyone at Lakeview Smiles has always been very nice but I am switching dentists after myself and some coworkers have all been recommended to get unnecessary treatment. We are all in our 20s and have previously not had teeth issues. All of us have been recommended to get crowns. Last fall they suggested I get 2 new crowns which I went through and did. This spring they then let me know that 1 of the crowns that was done needs to be redone. They also followed up by recommending I get a 3rd crown and fix a filling. I went to another dentist for a 2nd opinion and they said there was not a need for another crown or to fix the filling. I went back to Lakeview smiles to get the 1 crown that was done incorrectly fixed and after numbing my mouth the dentist changed her mind and told me that she actually thinks it is fine. Regardless of whether it needs to be fixed or not, I will be going elsewhere. I now believe that it was likely unnecessary for me to get the first 2 crowns which I had to pay thousands for and will need to continue to replace every decade from now on.

I visited today and can not speak highly enough of this location. Easily the best dental visit I’ve ever had. All the staff members I interacted with were friendly, organized and absolute experts at their jobs. I normally dread dentist but their professionalism and efficiency really put me at ease. The facility is clean, welcoming and located in a great area. I’m a local so can’t really speak to parking but it is located right off the blue-line el. Highly recommend

They were all well organized and everyone had a task. They treated my teens well. Execution done well from staff. I went in for my two teens before 2023-2024 school year. We will be returning for whitening inhouse which is $350.00 each. in case we were wondering. The kids and I were happy with the staff and service. Gladly come back. See u soon!

My daughter started out as a patient at Lakeview Smile. She assists with Dr. Jones, who is an excellent orthodontist. Thanks to her we have seen great evolution in the process. My daughter loves her and we love her. The entire staff is attentive and courteous. Today we all attend as a family, with different doctors from the same place and that shows the confidence that they have inspired in us. 100% recommendable!!!

Received great care from Lakeview Smiles in Bucktown. From the moment I walked in I was accommodated. Staff was pleasant and engaging. Dr. Raoof and Rama were outstanding, both gave incredible care. This place simply knows how to give good patient care. Will definitely be coming again. I have recommended this place to colleagues and friends and will continue to do so. I'd like to request $110 off my cavity fillings since both of my appointments for 1/23 and 1/17 were 30 minutes late.Originally, I was scheduled for 1/16 and 1/17 only, but since the 1/17 appointment was late, Dr. Raoof asked if I would be willing to come in a separate time on 1/23. I accepted, hoping that it would help her business run smoother for the day and with the understanding that scheduling mistakes can happen here and there. But for a third appointment to be made and for the schedule to run late again was very disappointing. Lakeview Smiles may need to pad more time between clients so that this stops happening or update their clients when a day starts shifting behind schedule.I also explained to the front desk manager that I run my own business and could've fit in two more clients with this lost hour. Each client pays $55 for half an hour, hence my request for $110 off my bill.Given the circumstances from this past week, I appreciate your consideration and look forward to hearing your response. Due to Dr. Raoof being in network with your insurance the office is not able to extend a discount or reduce your estimated copayment. It goes against her contract she signed with them since the services you are receiving are at a discounted rate already and is considered insurance fraud.I apologize for your wait time, I'm not exactly sure what transpired that may have caused her to run behind. We are a healthcare facility and there are times that things happen during procedures that are out of our control. The office does value our patients time and the office does it best to stay on time.I see that Josie extended you a discount on other services that are not covered by insurance as a gesture of good will. I understand that things can happen during procedures that are out of the office's control, but once it is known, it is in your office's control to take action and notify patients to come in at a later time or reschedule to a different time.Today, I've paid my invoice in full and cancelled my May 11, 2023 check up. If you are someone who has a fear of anything dental related than this is your place!!! I went in for a routine cleaning scheduled with Rama. She is AMAZING!! She comforted my anxiety and made sure I was ok with everything before we started. She took the time to actually explain what was going on and what steps were coming next. Her hand is so gentle I didn’t feel a thing. As long as she’s still there I will be returning….now onto my ortho work. I had some problems from another dentist that needed addressing and Dr. Jones really stepped it up and gave me a detailed plan on how to fix the problems. We’re 6 months in and I already see amazing results with absolutely no complaints. This office does not disappoint! I was able to get my normal dental work done in addition to ortho work all in the same office. & on top of it all the Bucktown location is SUPER CLEAN. If you’re someone who like a clean and professional office this is your place!!!
