I called a few places trying to get rough estimates on costs knowing full well they'd vary compared to a true cost after closer examination, most places were not even willing to discuss anything over the phone wouldn't even give highest possible cost of worse case scenarios, they all wanted to schedule visits first. But Smiles In Gainesville were happy to provide possible minimums and maximums based on my verbal description of issues, so I felt way more comfortable scheduling a visit knowing these possible costs ahead of time. When paying out of pocket, knowing your bounds ahead of time makes a big difference on budget fear factors. Nicely done Smiles :-)

They are all amazing. I’m one of those non-adult adults that avoided the dentist for years due to always hurting when cleaning and dentist always making me feel scolded and bad about my dental health. When I scheduled here I let them know how I know I’ve been bad about it but am trying to do better, and not only are they gentle when cleaning, but they are incredibly nice and understanding and encouraging. This is the first dentist I’ve ever kept the 6 month follow up with and I will continue to do so.

The staff is very friendly and professional. Prior to my visit, at Smiles in Gainesville, I tried to avoid Dental appointments, because of memories I had experienced with military dental. But Dr Shaw and her staff made me feel comfortable, while explaining everything.I would highly recommend Smiles in Gainsville.

This morning,I had a cavity filled and the beginning of my implant done ; it’s something I have been putting off for quite sometime due to a past bad dental experience. Dr.Rachel Shaw and her team were amazing , she made sure to keep me comfortable with minimal pain the entire time while under her care. I’m home recovering from my procedure 7 hours later still with minimal pain just alil soreness which is normal. She provided me with EXCEPTIONAL service and I highly recommend her and her team.

If you do not have a dentist or are looking for one I can not recommend “Smiles” office right by QT in Gainesville enough. The last time I tried to have whitening done before procedures I had a major anxiety attack. I felt like I couldn’t breathe. My BP was almost stroke level. I had to reschedule. The second time it happened again. I have never had issues w dentist or dr until this. I never understood what the big deal was. I felt so embarrassed and humiliated and have not been back to a dentist since soon after we started fostering almost 3 years ago.I broke a tooth off, and I was in pain. I asked for local recommendations and they got me in the following day, did the exam and fixed it all in the same day. Every single employee spoke and said hello. It was quiet and calm. The dentist and her assistant I swear could be on a mediation channel for calming and putting ppl to sleep. They were super professional and so kind. They told me everything they were doing before. They asked every 5 seconds if I was ok or if I wanted a break. I can not believe I made it through this w no gas or meds. They were phenomenal. If this dentist ever moves I will be packing my bags to follow her. 😂

I was in Gainesville for work, three hours from home, and my tooth started KILLING me! I called and left a message about 4am and had a returned call by 7:50am. They got me in at 11:30am, diagnosed the problem, extracted my wisdom tooth, and all within an HOUR! Now let me tell you, I am PICKY when it comes to ANYTHING, but especially my dentist. The dentist that saw me was AMAZING, and it was literally the EASIEST and most painless extraction I’ve EVER had! The office was beautiful and spotless and the staff was AMAZING!I just wished I lived closer. I would so be switching dentists! I recommend this place TEN OUT OF TEN!!

I am almost 60 years old and have never enjoyed going to the Dentist. Dr. Shaw and her Hygienist, (Sandra) provided me with the best experience I have ever had at a dentist office. They went out of the way to make sure I was comfortable and to ensure I remained comfortable throughout my entire 3 hours worth of procedures. They were very professional, but at the same time very personable. I don't care if I have to travel across the country, I plan to always use Dr. Shaw & Mrs. Reeves for my dental needs. GREAT EXPERIENCE!

Dr. Shaw is truly heaven sent! She is an amazing dentist and so so sweet. I spent 4 years avoiding the dentist due to a traumatic past experience with one but when I started seeing her I always feel more relaxed within a few minutes after being there and settled in. I have been to her office 4 times in the last 3 months for dental work and they are very consistent with their amazing patient care. She walks me through each step of the treatment as she is doing it. I highly recommend Dr. Shaw at Smiles, especially if you have dental anxiety! I can’t say enough good things about her, her assistant and her hygienist! All 3 of them are wonderful.
