I started the alignment journey with Dr.Yu about 18 months ago. Dr. Yu and the staff are very professional and friendly. Everyone was always willing to clarify any questions or concern I had. The initially treatment timeline supposed to be 12-15 months but Dr. Yu said the teeth could align better so he extended the treatment and I am so glad he did! Now I am so satisfied with the result. I will definitely be recommending my family and friends to this clinic.

My daughter got her braces taken off today, yay!!Huge and special thanks to Dr. Yu and his entire wonderful team, especially Gail and Jasmine. They treat you like family here. I was nervous at first because I had no idea what I was doing or where to start, they helped me from beginning to end and I'm very thankful for that. Very professional, friendly and helpful. HIGHLY recommend Yu Smiles for your ortho care and needs!! I wouldn't have wanted to take my daughter anywhere else.

I would highly recommend Dr.Yu’s office from the time you walk in the door the staff is welcoming and friendly, not to mention very knowledgeable and professional. During my treatment Kathleen, was very gentle efficient and informative while maintaining my comfort throughout the duration of my appointment. Dr.Yu is very helpful and does a great job reassuring you, it shows how passionate he is about his craft. Definitely give this office a visit, you won’t regret it!

My daughter was treated by Dr. Yu, I am happy and grateful that everything is fine. Now he has a nice smile. Every consultation I had was good because they respond on time and the staff is very attentive. They help you a lot.They also speak Spanish and it was very helpful to me. He's consistently kind, patient, and a perfectionist (in the best way) about your teeth. Also, Dr. Yu uses Spark Aligners which is some of the latest plastic aligner technology. I switched to Dr. Yu after a truly nightmare invisalign experience with a prior orthodontist, and my experience was night & day. He recently was awarded one of the Top Washingtonian dentists, and very much well-deserved! Go to Yu Smiles if you want to be treated well by professionals who genuinely care about you.

Final updated review: Overall, I am very pleased with my results and the improved communication from Dr. Yu and the staff. People are constantly complimenting my post braces smile.Updated review: Ten months into treatment, I don't feel like information is being given in a proactive or effective manner. First: Neither Dr. Yu or the ortho assistant told me that my appointments would be switching from every 8 weeks to every 6 weeks; the person at the front desk told me when I was scheduling my next visit. Second: After progressing to power chains, I wasn't told to continue wearing my elastics or given additional elastics until my next appointment. Now I have to go back through the adjustment period and get used to wearing them 22 hours a day again. Not an ideal outcome after a very painful visit.Communication should be a lot better.Previous 5 star rating:When I decided to start my orthodontic journey, I did not anticipate COVID-19. Dr. Yu has made the journey less harrowing. He is friendly and knowledgeable! Also I can't beat being able to see the orthodontist at my regular dentist's office.

I had three consultations for my 9-year-old’s cross bite. I chose Dr. Yu, even though his office was the farthest from my house, because his plan was the gentlest and fastest with the bonus of a reasonable price. He and the staff are friendly, efficient, and helpful, and I didn’t feel like I was being pressured into treatment for my child. My kid was so nervous at first, but Dr. Yu and staff made him comfortable through the whole process, and of course best of all, the cross bite is corrected. I am so glad we found Dr. Yu.

Dr. Yu and his team have been incredible for our daughter Rosie! She had a problem with her recently placed retainer, and when we called the office 2 minutes before closing, they told us to come on in so he could fix it even though we live 30 minutes away. We want to extend a big “Thank You!” to Dr. Yu for staying more than an hour past closing to ensure that everything was fixed for Rosie. Exceptional customer service! We highly recommend this practice.

I am very grateful and pleased with the care my daughter received at Dr Yu's office. From the front desk staff to the technicians, we were always greeted warmly from day one. They also offer payment plans which made me feel like while everyone wants to get paid for their service, they also really show concern that their patients can get affordable care. The office is bright and inviting and something unusual about Dr offices- they are timely, yay! We were always seen very close to the scheduled appointment time. I highly recommend this orthodontist office!

Honestly, Yu Orthodontics feels like home. This was my very first time here and I am so glad I gave them a call.They are incredibly kind, personable, and welcoming. To start, you can tell they take COVID seriously by the procedures they have in place and how often they sanitize. The space is clean, well maintained and has adorable decor.They are so friendly! Each staff member I interacted with was so sweet that I immediately felt at ease. Sandy is awesome! When we began the process, Sandy gave clear instructions and worked quickly! All while making me smile! You can tell Dr. Yu truly cares about what he does and his patients. He is incredibly knowledgeable, uplifting and will make you feel so comfortable. Gail is wonderful! She is amiable,thorough and will make sure you truly understand everything. I can't wait to continue my journey with Yu Orthodontics and HIGHLY recommend them!
