I was honestly shocked at how personable and professional everyone is. I drove an hour to get there. It’s ironic that in all my years I cannot ever remember leaving a dentist smiling- but I did here. The staff is honest, and they genuinely care for the whole person and not just their teeth, or wallet. Lots of dentists can get the job done, and there’s many who can’t buy charge you anyways. But these folks at Smiles by Shields are an oasis of quality and compassion in a desert of mediocrity and apathy. Thank you Jesus I found my Dentist!

Hi!! I was so looking forward to my experience with Dr Shields. I waited 6 months to see her. Finally the day. $600 for a visit which includes consult. Cleaning, x rays great! The doctor comes in races thru, as if I’ve been a patient forever .. spends 5 minutes with me. (She raced thru )On their intake it says you will not ever see the doctor again until she works on you. BEWARE. I feel, unheard, and I DO NOT TRUST THE PRACTICE NOW.the treatment plan person could not answer most of my questions .. nor did she have many notes to work with because the doctor raced thru my intake. No one would answer my questions about a heavy metal test (what was included ) and how all my other treatments work in synergy with their treatment protocols. This is not a wellness place this is a factory .. like the rest of the medical field.… I would not recommend this practice. The “manager “ came in and did not care ..she spouted policy (she wanted me out as soon as possible. Also I felt … they prefer not to deal with me or create any trust. Sooo disappointing. I was so hoping this would provide me with some answers to my chronic fatigue. Felt so unheard. Again be aware you will not see the dentist much on initial visits.Happy New Year !!

Dr. Shields and her team are incredible. I’ve been seeing her for over 7 years and my teeth are so much healthier. She is kind, knowledgeable and thorough. The office is immaculate and very clean. Throughout the years I’ve been seen by most of the staff and they are all helpful, welcoming and make you feel at ease. Dental issues can sometimes be overwhelming but with Dr. Shields and her staff you know you are in the best hands. I highly recommend this practice!

I would recommend anyone who is seeking dental services to visit Dr. Tiffany Shields ( Smiles By Shields) office located on San Jose Blvd in Jacksonville Florida. I've been a client for over 20 years and they continue to get better each year. Also, a special thanks to Ms. Lisa my dental hygienist for her amazing work. She's the best!

DO NOT GO HERE! She did a crown for me that lasted 1 1/2 years before it started braking into pieces! A crown should last at least 5-10 years! I moved out of the area and had my new dentist fix it. He said there was decay left behind by her. He cleaned it out and put a new crown on. I sent her all of the pictures from my new dentist, his assessment, and my receipt. I paid out-of-pocket for everything. She refused to reimburse me for getting it fixed and tried to blame it on a root canal I had done! Ridiculous! I also paid her a bunch of money for the root canal prevention program which of course didn’t work either. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT GO HERE!

Im not going to lie. It has been a while since I have been to the dentist. After Covid I was dealing with a little post Covid anxiety. Going to the dentist was not at the top of my list of things I needed to do. At my last doctor check up they suggested a holistic dentist.I did the research and decided on Dr Shields and I am so glad I did. From booking my appointment to my first visit and a cleaning with the dental hygnist it was just an all round great experience. Dr Shield's staff are not only professional and exceptional at what they do but, they are also kind and compassionate.Its my pleasure to be able to give a 5 star review to Smiles by Shields.Thank you for making me feel so cared for. My teeth look amazing and I am looking forward to my next visit 😃

Tiffany Shields has been my dentist since December 2021. My visit to her on August 25, 2022 was unpleasant. Being disabled and a bike rider I have to calm down before my doctors take me in to treat me.I was going to have 3 cavities filled on this visit. I let them know that my appointment was 2p.m. and not 1:30pm. I got there early enough for them to take me at 1:30 so I went reluctantly went to the back for them to work on me when they called my name.I told them next time I will need time to calm down in the lobby before my 2 p.m. appointment. Dentist Shields responded "this is my office I have never had anyone say that to me."I was told by the dental hygienist that Dr Shields cares about her patients and puts them first in this conversation that was loud and hurried in attempts on my part to allow her to take other patients after me and still stay on schedule.I let them know that before I came in to the office, I was working out some tight pressure spots on my jaw that were possibly caused by an infection that I still had on my tooth.I was given an x-rayThey did find an infection on the tooth root beside the previous tooth that I had come in for so they could not fill the cavities until the infection was cleared up.They referred me to an oral surgeon but I was too scared to continue the conversation to find out details in the office because I was so upset and not feeling good when I first came in.I came to find out that this visit made Dr Shields feel that a level of trust was broken between her and i. That is her words not mine. I am willing to stay with a health professional for the long haul understanding that they are not responsible for my health issues but rather I am.I was disappointed to hear her say that she no longer felt comfortable to treat me and that I would have to find another dentist.

I broke my night guard at 5 AM on a Tuesday morning. My wife had an appointment with Dr. Shields that morning and carried my guard with her. They cleaned and repaired it while she was having her cleaning. She brought it home and I didn't miss a single night. I was actually expecting to be without it for 2 weeks until my next appointment. Really surprised at the response. Grateful, too.

I am a new patient and there was a mix-up with the appointment, which was entirely my fault and the front office staff were so accommodating and caring! I look forward to the excellent care I know I will receive from this office and the staff are AMAZING! They feel like family already. Also, as a Deaf person, they were not hesitant to provide an interpreter for my appointment which is a wonderful feeling to not have to constantly fight for my accommodation right, rather have them understand what I need. Thank you!

We all heard of the fact that a Team can make or break you. The Team at Smiles By Shields definitely makes the whole office as one of the top dental care provider. They are professional, polite, and greet you with the biggest smiles you can imagine. The office is so serene and peaceful. As things roll downhill, a lot of credit goes to Dr. Shields whose demeanor and infectious attitude rolls down to the entire staff. One of the BEST in my opinion!Ray Raza
