I went in for a cleaning. After multiple forms of images were attempted/taken of my teeth and my bone/gum loss was measured, I was sat down to be sold on a bunch of "extras". When I inquired about getting my teeth cleaned, they said they could not do that. No dentist actually looked in my mouth and inspected my teeth. For all intents and purposes, I walked out of there worse off than when I arrived for all the time wasted on this visit that I will never get back. I would not even give them 1 star if it weren't for the fact I had to in order to post this review

I wish I could give a better review but I just want to be honest with my experience. The front desk lady was really helpful and nice.But, the dental assistances were a different story. I felt like they don't have the passion to work with kids. My son was calm and did what they asked him in the beginning. But he gets anxious once they start working on him. They tried the calming gas and it did not work, they also had him wrapped and I think that made it worse. The assistants didn't have a touch to calm him down. I could feel their frustration, and they did not try other things like negotiating with him it was just like forcing him to "relax" I felt terrible just watching and hearing how he screen for his freedom more than 20 min. I knocked on the door to tell the dentist to stop with the procedure and once he got release from the wrap, he ran out the front door, he did not wanted to go back, I actually had to run out and get him from the parking lot s. It was a really traumatic experience for him. The actual dentist was nice and helpful but her assistant team needs to improve and have better knowledge of the way they approach kids with anxiety about dental procedures.Update: November 14, 2023We went to another dentist and my son got 2 out of 6 cavities filled with no need for anesthesia. There was no need for calming gas or wrapping him up. The dentist was patient and gave my son a minute every time he needed it to take one. He helped him relax and explained what was happening and showed him the dental instruments that he was going to use. He also is going to work 2 cavities for appointments that way the visits are short and kids can manage better in shorter appointments. At this dental office they wanted to remove 4 teeth, fill in 6 cavities and do 1 mini root canal and apply a cap on in 1 appointment. The other dentist did not suggest removing the 4 teeth there is no need to do that. I am glad I looked somewhere else and that I found a dentist that is compassionate and knows how to treat kids.

Worst dental cleaning experience I’ve ever had. Same as the other 1 star reviews. I went for a routine cleaning (my last was just 6 months ago at a dentist that moved away) and they tried to scam me into a $300 deep cleaning. I said I just want a standard cleaning that my insurance covers, and they refused to do it. Don’t waste your time or money here.

I came here years ago, and didn't have the best experience, but thought I'd try this dentist once more because of the convenient location. They took me in late, the lady who did my x-rays didn't know what she was doing, and the lady who came to talk to me about pricing was very pushy. I spent nearly 2 hours waiting to get my routine dental cleaning and even after all that time, they refused to provide me with my cleaning unless I opted for the nearly $800 deep cleaning. They just wasted 2 hours of my day for nothing. Unfortunately, this will be my last visit here. I do not recommend the office for your dental hygiene needs.

I went to the office for a basic cleaning that would be covered by my Medicare dental plan (Smiles West is listed as a provider). I was told that I needed an upgraded cleaning/irrigation at an added cost of over $100. I refused the upgrade and again requested the basic cleaning that was covered by my plan. Smiles West refused to do the cleaning unless I paid for the upgrade because I had been "diagnosed" as needing the upgrade. I left without having my teeth cleaned, making an appointment with another dentist. Although the other dentist is not a Medicare provider, so I will have to pay cash for my visit, it will still cost less than Smiles West wanted to charge me for my Medicare-covered visit. I will certainly never return. (I would have preferred to leave zero stars, but I couldn't post without giving a one-star rating.)

I just want to thank Dr.Sharma and her assistant Brenda they were so awesome they helped with my fillings for 10 teeth and I feel great and thank them for all their kind assistance and service taking their time to attend to my needs. My fillings were done pain free all done same day immediately and I feel great. At Smiles West Forest lake branch/clinic just ask for Dr. Sharma she is so pleasant to deal with and very knowledgeable. She will attend to you ASAP with her cheerful assistant Brenda. Had a great experience there, very friendly staff too!

DONT go here !!!!!! Very unprofessional dentist office . Took almost 8 months to get dentures !!!!!! They couldn’t get it right over and over !!! Also filled two cavities that actually needed root canals and had to go to another dentist to get them . They never should have filled those cavities and left debris in the teeth !!! Also the dental staff talked rude to each other never saw anything like this before !!

Don’t waist your time and money with un-professional staff and group.the dental assistant doesn’t know how she should doing an x-ray!!They canceled my appointment 2 days ago, because they didn’t have dental hygiene and they gave me new appointment for today! When I be there,they took me an x-rays and one of the doctor visit and diagnosed and they told me sorry we don’t have dental hygiene today we reschedule when you will come for make a filling your teeth we will cleaning at the same time!!You know what does it mean?it means if we clean your teeth you’re not coming back !I will report them to ADA and my insurance.

We just transferred to this office and we were all extremely pleased with our care. They were thorough with the examination, yet still friendly which made for a comfortable atmosphere. I have extreme dental anxiety, and they understood the condition which made me more at ease during the exam. Dr. Olix was a pleasure due to her calming nature, easy going presence, and professionalism. Check in and check out was seamless— we look forward to remaining with this practice long term.

Our whole family has been visiting this office more than 3 years now. We were very happy with everybody who works there until they hire the recent office manager. Even though I have two dental insurances, and one of them suppose to pay complete for the cleaning, the office manager made me pay for the co-pay. Later, I called two of my insurance companies, and approved that I shouldn’t pay! I was also able to reach one of the CEOs, and they reimburse the amount and solve the problems. At the end, I’m glad that the problems were resolved and we didn’t need to change our dental office due to the office manager’s mistake!
