It had been 4-5 years since my last dental visit, mainly because I was terrified of the pain and the overall experience I had before. But from the moment I walked into this practice, I felt completely at ease. The team was welcoming, the atmosphere was calming, and they truly put my fears to rest. Today, I left with a 100% satisfied smile both literally and figuratively! I’m beyond thrilled to have found this place and couldn’t be happier with the care I received.

Dr.Lau was awesome. I have decided that she is to be my dentist.

EDIT 2024/11/26: my local dentist identified that a silver filling between 30 and 31 tooth was broken, that caused the pain. ORIGINAL POST: I had a bad experience in treating my teeth at Boro Dental. On one Saturday April 2024, I went there to have my cavity fillings fixed. The doctor at that time was very inconsiderate during the treatment and sometimes felt quite brutal to me. This caused a lot of pain - in fact I had many cavity treatment up to today but this is the worst experience I ever had. After the treatment, for one week my tooth was very painful. After that week, I could not even bite on the right side for following months, which last until now! At one point I felt I couldn't handle it so I went back to Boro Dental again. Doctor Lau told me it is because I grind at night and it caused the pain and uncomfortable feelings. She did not give any further treatment. Only until recently I got to realize what actually happened: when I floss the area and I identified the pain place that is in between two teeth, which was right on the one tooth treated back in April. It is not due to grinding at all. This time I have to schedule another appointment with my local dentist to have it fixed. I will never go back to Boro Dental again.

I am disappointed with our experience at this dental office. My husband had a filling done, and unfortunately, he has been experiencing pain for over seven months since the procedure. When we reached out to the office to express our concerns, we were advised to come in for a follow-up appointment. During the visit, Dr. Lau suggested that the pain was due to teeth grinding at night, rather than the filling itself. However, my husband never had any discomfort in that tooth until after the filling was placed. He is now unable to bite down or floss without pain, which raises doubts about the quality of care provided. After reading through the reviews, I am left wondering if our experience is an isolated incident or part of a larger pattern. I urge potential patients to proceed with caution. Based on our experience, we will not be returning and cannot recommend this practice. ———————————— Update: we went to another doctor and confirmed the pain was caused by the filling, which was broken. Problem solved after the filling was fixed.

Dr. Lau and her team at BORO Dental Arts are incredible! She is seriously the best dentist I have ever had! She and her staff are technically excellent, warm, and super professional. I would recommend her practice whole-heartedly to all my family and colleagues!
