Wanted to express my true appreciation for Dr. Ian Mapes of Court Square Dentistry. I've been getting dental care from Dr. Mapes for many years. This morning I had an important, tooth-saving surgery at his office. He did an excellent job, and I'm very grateful. Dr. Mapes has also been insightful and responsive when we've reached out to him with dental questions for our 1-year-old daughter. The guidance and medical information he shared with us has been a big factor in her having healthy teeth as well.

Super nice office, super nice staff. I had Tyquan as my hygienist and he was very friendly and so gentle (no bleeding gums this time!). Dr. Mapes is knowledgeable about different treatment options and is flexible about timing, which I really appreciate! 10/10 recommend

Great Dentistry but especially appreciate the professionalism Monica brings to the table! Very above and beyond service.

I've been going here for 3+ years and I was told that I had to remove one of my wisdom tooth because it would cause issues. I went in 2 weeks ago because my gum (where they put on a crown) was bothering whenever I ate or drink anything. They said they didn't see any issues with that tooth or the gum but a cavity that will need to fixed, so I opted to pay $225 out of pocket to get it done then and there by Dr. Ian. I was annoyed that he didn't mention anything about my mouth still bleeding or suggested an6 compression because they know my history with Warfarin. 2 weeks after this cavity fix I'm still having sensitivity only when eating and drinking at the same area and more so now with where Dr. Ian filled the cavity. I called and told the office that my tooth/gum is even more sensitive now after the fill. They wanted me to come in and pay more money to look at the same tooth when I asked why I need to pay, i was told they would call me back because depending on what the Dr said, I won't have to. They call back only to blame my wisdom tooth and asked if I took it out in between the 2wks I've seen them. They didn't want to look at the same issue I paid $225 out of pocket for unless I paid more money. Don't go here if you don't want pay twice for the same issue. DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTAL OFFICE. THEY ARE MONEY HUNGRY AND WILL MESS UP YOUR TEETH. Also, make sure you can easily Floss before you leave. They will not correct it

I paid 396 dollars for two cleanings. I came in for my cleaning, which I had already paid for. I was on time and proceeded to the room. Mary came in and told me that without X-rays they couldn’t complete the cleaning. I told her that I would not be doing x rays today but could do them next time. Mary told me that this meant I could not get a cleaning. She said, “but we can take care of your old fillings for you.” This would be an extra cost, so I said no thank you. I can do the X-rays in 6 months and do the cleaning then. We proceeded to the front where she told me she would be charging me a cancellation fee of 100 dollars. I came to my appointment on time, and I already pre paid for this appointment (something I’m not getting any refund for). When I explained to her that this was illogical and that I was not the one cancelling, she became aggressive her attitude was unacceptable. Customer service isn’t even the issue here insolence is. To the owner, please have a talk with Mary about her attitude and please address the logical fallacies Mary used to charge me a cancellation fee in this scenario.

(only put 2 stars to avoid getting removed) Deceptive practice. Found them on ZocDoc so I had thought they were in-network, turns out they “advertise” as available for all PPO plans to get patients in and was actually out of network. This would be fine if they were upfront about it, instead I found out after getting a bill for a routine clean. They did unnecessary deep cleaning without consent or disclosure that it’ll be out of pocket. The procedure was painful and unasked for. In addition, they kept trying to push additional deep cleaning (for over $1k! OOP), which from experience, only shady practices do. Make sure to check if you are in-network, and even if you are, I would avoid.

Been coming here for the last few years, first time leaving a review. Probably one of the most consistent, clean, and professional dental offices in the LIC area. The staff here are very pleasant to work with and talk to as well!

Check them out on Yelp first - those are the real reviews. Also used to go by "Williamsburg Smile Design" if you wanna see more Yelp reviews. I was pressured to pay $$$ to fill cavities that probably aren't there and was told "don't worry insurance generally covers more of it after the fact." Insurance did not cover more of it. I called them to ask if they'd bring down the price. I was charged a wild amount. They said they'd talk to the billing office and never got back to me. Have had tooth pain and sensitivity ever since I got my "cavities" filled. Responding to the comment: it seems many people have reviewed your practice saying your office misled them on payments. If you cannot know what my payment will be, why was I (and many other people) told by your front desk that insurance would cover more. $570 for 3 cavities is nuts.

Cavity filling was fast and painless!! And had my concerns taken very seriously. I've only had fantastic experiences here. The office staff are extremely communicative and helpful.
