The Smile Institute (Southern Ocean Orthodontics)

The Smile Institute, Dr Butler, (and wonderful Dr. Cringole) gave 3 of our 4 kids a great smile in a professional, caring, affordable experience. Just recently our (4th) daughter had an emergency with her metal spacer broken, causing discomfort and pain. Her dentist who installed it would not see her for 6 more days. Dr. Butler immediately saw her and removed the permanent, broken, spacer and made a comfortable, plastic, removable one. He is a hero. Highest recommendations to the Smile Institute. Way ahead of the curve.

My wife and I took our son Timothy to see Dr. Butler recently and was extremely disappointed. First of all, Dr. Butler repeatedly stared at my wife and her body in a very inappropriate manner. It was very clear to us that he was checking her out. I had heard of similar claims about him before but thought it was just baseless rumors. He spent more time checking out my wife than he did my son's teeth.

Words cannot begin to express how AMAZING, TALENTED, PROFESSIONAL and KIND THE ENTIRE STAFF IS at The Smile Institute. It sounds cliche’, but once you go, you are all treated like family! The new building is like a boutique hotel! It’s simply gorgeous, modern and sooooo clean/hygienic. My children’s teeth look AMAZING and they take Dental DMO, so call, you can’t go wrong! Only thing is, now that we are done, I have no reason to go back, but Dr. Butler and his entire staff have made an indelible mark on our lives. Hopefully, we’ll run into one another again and have lots to catch-up on! Thank you for making this experience so pleasant and memorable for all of us! Love you guys!!! May all goodness come your way! You guys have earned it, time and time again, one patient at a time!!!

This is my second go around with getting braces and both times I have been blessed with seeing Dr. Butler. His new state of the art office is breathtaking and when you sit down in the chair it makes you feel like you’re living in the Jetsons. TVs on the ceiling, lights built into the mirrors, and pendant lights that take your mind away from the pain of getting braces. His staff is always so nice and personable. I genuinely look Forward to going to the orthodontist now. Dr. Butler runs a tight ship and his dental assistants are very knowledgeable in the field and are always down to answer questions you might have. Couldn’t recommend a better orthodontist!

Exceptional Orthodontic Care for My Child!I cannot praise Dr. Butler enough for the incredible orthodontic care they provided to my child. From start to finish, our experience with their practice has been nothing short of exceptional.First and foremost, the entire team at Southern Ocean Orthodontics made us feel welcome and comfortable from the moment we walked through the door. The reception staff was warm and friendly, always ready to answer any questions and accommodate our busy schedule.

I really don't know what to say. Not even the best Orthadontics place...but the best Dr. kind of place I've ever been. I have never gone the braces route but my daughter is so I didn't know a thing at first. The consultation was so thorough and they explained everything perfectly. My daughter actually looks forward to coming here. The staff and Dr. Butler are Rock Stars!Thanks Guys!

Anybody who comes here for treatment is in great hands. You can tell right away that everybody here genuinely cares. It's a very welcoming environment, which means a lot as a 24 y/o getting braces for the first time. During my first visit, Dr Butler spent time going over the options available to me - nothing felt rushed or forced. Sharon is amazing. Marie, Joyce, Patti, and the others are all so great at what they do. I wish I could visit them more often!

Southern Ocean Orthodontics would get 10 stars if that was possible. Professional, clean, fun, knowledgeable, and polite people all around. My son was nervous for his expander and braces he needed but the dentist and everyone that we met with or worked with explained everything so he was comfortable. (Super awesome for kids!) We were well informed on all steps of what was going to happen and everything was done in a timely manner that worked for our schedule. So far so good!! We’ll be coming back for my other son and continued work on number 1 so it’s a good feeling to know they’ll be in great hands!!

This office has a fun and relaxing vibe. Never had any issues with any aspect of treatment. Appointments were easy to get and we never had to wait long despite there always being other patients there at the same time! Dr Butler always made a point to say hello to my husband and I but also speaks directly to the kids as well. Great experience with my first son, and now my younger son is a patient. Highly recommend.

I have nothing but positive things to say about the care my daughter has been receiving from Dr. Butler and the entire staff at Southern Ocean Orthodontics. Not only do her teeth look really straight, but Dr. Butler stopped what he was doing in his personal life to meet us at the office on a Saturday afternoon when my daughter had an accident involving her teeth and braces. He fixed the brace and took measures to make sure her tooth was going to be ok. I would never use any other orthodontist besides Dr. Butler because I know that we are getting the best care possible with such a kind, caring and accommodating doctor.
