Segal and Iyer Orthodontics

I have been going to Segal & Iyer ever since I was 7 years old. My smile is transformed and being a patient has had a tremendous impact on my career as well. I was fortunate to shadow and work with Dr. Iyer for a few years. Learning at the practice has been an invaluable experience, and further motivated me to pursue dentistry. I will be attending Penn Dental Medicine this fall, and could not thank the team at Segal and Iyer Orthodontics for the support they have given me to get to where I am, I couldn’t have done it without them!

On a scale of 1-5 I would have to give Segal and Iyer 25 stars. Four years ago, at 47 years old, I decided to get braces for the second time in my life. I was told that I was going to require surgery at least once to widen my upper jaw for pallet expansion and there was a possibility of having a second surgery down the road to correct my teeth and bite. I went all in after researching Segal and Iyer and meeting with Dr Iyer. I knew it was going to be a longer process, but I trusted Dr Iyer 100 percent.I was amazed by the entire staff at Segal and Iyer. Everyone was upbeat, friendly, personable and caring. It seemed like no one every had a bad day there. Visit after visit this was consistent. They really understand customer service. Anytime I had an issue with my braces, they got me in asap.I was supposed to get my braces put on and pallet expander taken out but that was delayed by Covid 19. They adapted beautifully and got my braces put on. I required a second surgery in order to have a better bite and they were supportive and cheerful throughout the process.It took 11 more months after the second surgery to get my braces off and teeth where they needed to be. I trusted Dr Iyer's vision for me. Every time I looked in the mirror at my teeth I wondered how is she going to get these teeth corrected.I just had my braces taken off today and almost cried when I saw the final product. I will be wearing my retainer.I also wanted to add that Dr Iyer and Val both pictured are NY Giants fans, and I enjoyed the banter and conversation with them about football. They know what they are talking about.I do want to shout out Dr Iyer, Val and Bonnie for making the last 4 years enjoyable. Never a bad visit. There were plenty of other people at Segal and Iyer that were a part of the process, but I am not great with names. Everyone was great!I was always self-conscious about my teeth and today I cannot stop smiling. Easily the best investment I have ever made. I took my eight-year-old to Dr. Iyer for overcrowded teeth, and despite the challenging diagnosis, her vision for my son's smile was evident from the beginning. After two treatments spanning a few years, the results were outstanding. Impressed, I later took my twin girls to her. Even my husband, who had long struggled with a bite issue despite prior orthodontic treatment, found relief under Dr. Iyer's care within months. At 50, I decided to undergo orthodontic treatment for the first time, and the results were equally impressive. Over the span of 15 years, my family received exceptional care from this practice, which felt more like an extended family. With top-notch doctors, caring staff, and a culture of kindness, they provided the best service possible. Dr. Iyer's influence motivated one of my daughters to pursue a dental degree at an Ivy League dental school.

As a visiting dentist who has visited over 15 different practices, I can confidently say that this practice stands out as the best. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a warm and welcoming vibe. As operations progressed, Dr. Iyer took charge effortlessly—engaging with every patient, addressing their concerns, and meticulously attending to details. It's evident that Dr. Iyer is passionate about her work and profoundly influences both her staff and patients positively. My experience at Segal and Iyer has been invaluable, and I'm excited to apply the lessons learned in my own practice.

I'm beyond pleased with the care my child received at Segal and Iyer. From the warm welcomes to the expert care, the staff and doctors were fantastic! The results are stunning, boosting my child's confidence significantly. Based on this experience, my other children will definitely be going here for their orthodontic needs. A huge thanks to the team at Segal and Iyer!

1/18/24I recently was diagnosed with sleep apnea. The problem is, I’m claustrophobic. So, using a Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) became extremely difficult for me. After doing a little research, I came across a mouth device, called Thornton Adjustable Positioner,(TAP 3), which is a mouth device much like an Invisalign. The next step would be to figure out which orthodontist would offer the device. I made an appointment to see Dr. Iyer at Dr. Segal and Iyer Orthodontics, located at 501NJ – 73 #202 Marlton New Jersey. I can honestly say I’ve never been to a facility more organized, and with 21st-century technology. Dr. Iyer was extremely amazing! She was able to sit with me and educate me on exactly how the device worked and how it’s going to benefit my sleep habits. I will definitely recommend anyone with sleep apnea or any orthodontic issues to see Dr. Iyer. You will not be disappointed. I looked into this place based on reviews. They saw me and explained they could correct what was bothering me about my teeth.About 7k for Invisalign. Years later, not only was not a single expectation met, I personally feel my teeth look worse than when I started.In my opinion there are too many patients for too few Drs. I was always waiting for my 5-10 minutes with the dr as they went down the line of patients, it felt far from personal. Maybe they remember what we talked about last visit maybe they don’t.So many things went wrong. Too many to list here without making this an essay.I personally do not recommend this place, I would not even recommend it to someone I don’t like.The worse part is that this is permanent there is no going back. Teeth, you look at them everyday. When I see mine now I feel anxiety, and overall regret. If you are like me and base your self on reviews, look at few places before committing.

Both my daughters, are patients of Dr. Iyer, We highly recommend Segal and Iyer Orthodontics. The staff is amazing & Dr. Iyer is top notch in the Orthodontic field. She truly cares for her patients & takes the time to explain everything to them & their families. Iyer and Segal was recommended by our general dentist for our children. From our first meeting, my husband and I were impressed with the staff from the front desk to the overseeing orthodontist. The team was thorough in determining the best treatment plan and conveyed the plan in way easily understood. The team was collaborative with my husband and I along with our general dentist in their follow-up and follow-through. Additionally, the facility was welcoming and provided privacy in discussing patient matters. Having considered other orthodontist in the local area, this practice has been hands down the best decision we’ve made! If you’re considering an orthodontist, look no further … completely satisfied!!!

As a adult patient of this practice for almost 4 years I highly recommend them.. Everyone in this office from the docs, techs and front desk staff have been amazing. They don't quit until you are completely satisfied and your teeth are perfect. It is worth every penny to trust your kids or adults with this practice. I am only sorry I didn't do it sooner.
