Muir Station Smiles - Martinez

Have 3 little girls that we take to Muir Station Smiles. The staff is really friendly. They do a great job of making kids feel comfortable and having a positive dentist experience. We like to include special experiences (an ice cream cone afterward, etc) to make sure our children really look forward to going to the dentist. But our girls look forward to this dentist without that incentive.Book in advance. Expect close quarters and lots of activity in the office. The walls are bright, and usually, a movie is playing on a screen. Cleanings usually take under an hour from entry to exit.This is one of few dentists who takes MediCal!! Best option for Medi Cal dental care in the East Bay!

1st review ever left. This place is the definition of a scam shop. 6000 dollars for a binding contract and not acknowledging that they only work on mondays, with drawn out appointments and orthos with no knowledge of their profession when asked any questions about the procedure. One check up appointment for braces was just randomly canceled without any notification or comment on an appointment THEY PLANNED ON THEIR LIMITED TIMES MAKING US CANCEL OUR SCHEDULE FOR NO REASON. Orthodontist takes approximately 30 seconds to look at our teeth on a 2 MONTH ROUTINE CHECKING and provides no insight, a place run by idiots wanting to grab your money. They are inflexible for procedures slightly past their minuscule knowledge bubble.

My children really like their appointments with the dentist, they are very friendlyI recommend it with children

This place is an awesome place from where you can find a great Dentist same like my daughter's Dentist including his dental assistants namely Fara and Mary are good employees whom you can rely for being proficient at work, Kudos and I love this place to give my trust to handle my daughter's oral hygiene. Previously had some really good experiences with my daughter. Problems started when I began trying to bring my son in. Apparently there were issues with the insurance for my son, which they called me about a week prior to their appointment. As I didn't have the information they needed on hand I rescheduled and my wife called in. Once again they called me while at work so I asked my wife to call and give them the insurance information. She was told that some other department handled that and they could not verify on the spot whether the info was correct. We never received any confirmation and assumed they canceled the appointment. The day of I get a text with instructions to check in so I call to ask about the status of the insurance. The one I spoke to said that there were no notes on their system but she could take the insurance info and l verify ON THE SPOT. She did but seems like the whole issue was that they had the wrong birthday on file. Once I checked both kids in they got my son in a chair first and did his cleaning. Although we were just waiting on the doctor to check his teeth they couldn't get started on my daughter until there was a free chair. But once a chair was free they sat another brother sister combo. Then they sat my daughter and got her started on the x-rays while the doctor checked my son's teeth. After getting my daughter's teeth cleaned the assistant was scheduling the next appointment as the doctor was checking the younger of the other two siblings. When he was done the assistant didn't let him know that we were next, I saw her make an attempt to get his attention but let him move on to another child. After he was done with that one no attempt was made to let him know we were next and he moved on to the oldest of the other two siblings. After that it seems like he might have been told about us but he had a child who was anesthetized waiting on a procedure. I asked how long the wait was going to be and they didn't give me an estimate but instead apologized because there was no number on the monitor letting the doctor know what place we were in. He finally saw us and checked my daughter within 2 minutes. Left there 2 hours after arriving.

Took my daughter in for braces. Worst decision made! They are always running late. They dropped the ball twice on booking my daughter's appointment. She hasn't been seen since November. They only work on Modays, (they told after I signed the contract). The front desk could use some costumer service improvement. They don't make patients aware when staff is running behind. I am stuck coming here due to financial contract.Go somewhere else for orthodontist care.

Amazing Children’s Dentist. Professional, kind, caring and gentle. They educate the children in terms they can understand regarding care for their teeth and gums. My daughter LOVES the dentist now!! They play cartoons in the treatment room and when done, they get balloons and gift pack with new toothbrush and floss that my daughter is more excited to use than the ones I buy her.
