Menlo Park Smiles

I have coming here for a while. I and not convinced that this is the dental care I need from this place. Although they have made some changes to their clinics to make it look nicer, the service is frankly awful. They are always running late. In an emergency no one picks up. I have called their emergency line and went straight to voicemail. Today I went in due to a slight urgent matter and after many calls that I made all weekend long( let me remind you today is Thursday) I finally was seen today and after all of those calls, I still was have not yet received a return call from anyone. The doctor never once came in to talk or say anything to me and instead she sent her assistants to deal with this matter , I know everyone is busy , however, this has not been the first time I have been through this in this office. I expressed my concerns and I and definitely considering other options for my family and myself. I definitely would recommend this practice to anyone. They are not patient care oriented.

I was looking for a dentist, hygienist and dental office that truly understands how much anxiety I experienced when going for cleaning or procedures. This is the place! Arlynn is a gem. So kind and compassionate. Lina also was gentle, said everything she was going to do and asked permission before proceeding. Joanne has the touch of an angel! She did the cleaning with such skill and gentleness. Dr. D - she was very reassuring, clear about what the plan was and showed she truly cares about her patients. Highly recommend Menlo Park Smiles😊

This place is called Smiles for many reasons. The staff are welcoming and professional. The service provided is both personal and highly skilled with modern technology. You feel in safe hands, which is a crucial feeling to have in any dentists office. I am under Dr Daftarian for Dental work and Invisalign. I am very happy with the care provided. I highly recommend this practice.

Terrific hygienist. The dentist is very kind too and it's great to see the Xrays and other information on the screen. It's a lovely dental office. The one thing that is really annoying is that the phone is not answered instantly and the reception depends on email and text. I am not a big phone user, preferring email for most things, but I do like it when I make a call and the phone is answered immediately.

WOW . I had an incredible visit. Doctor daftarian was able to quickly find the root cause of my tooth pain, explain it to me and fix the problem.Patty was incredible as usually doing a great cleaning , also with an amazing attitude and positive energy. I have the best dental hygiene I ever have had in my life and at 30 years old , she was the only one who taught me how to properly floss.Lina cracked me up and I almost cried laughing. Camille even stopped by to say hi ! arlene has a loving and warm hello .Just what I needed after years of work from home. This is a true community of skilled intelligent employees and like a family. Highly recommend

100% by far best dental experience I've ever had, left the office educated, relieved and in all really satisfied! I can't emphasize how many dental offices I had to go through to finally be fully satisfied after my visit! Both assistants Lena and Camille were REALLY knowledgeable and thorough which helped me feel comfortable throughout the whole visit, however I wish they still had coco around to help with the anxiety!I'm glad I made the choice to come here for my dental care, highly recommend if you have high dental sensitivity as they take everything into consideration! I ALWAYS appreciate great service, KUDOS to the whole team!

The service was far worse than other times. First of all, the doctor was not there to perform the dental exam, as she usually is during the dental cleaning, and I was not informed of that until I was already there. This means that I have to set another appointment to get the service done, which is rather inconvenient. Had I known I would have set up the appointment on a day that the doctor works at that office.Secondly, the dental hygienist was far from happy when I asked her to clean my teeth manually instead of using the machine, something that has never been an issue with all other dental hygienists I have had in the past, and I have had quite a few. In the end, she relinquished, though.Overall, I was far less pleased that I have been with services in the past. It seems that the quality of the service is going downhill.

I dislike going to the dentist as I had many bad experiences in the past.I had a bad toothache and a co-worker referred me to Menlo Park Smiles .I called in to set an appointment and they were able to fit me in that afternoon.The staff was wonderful i was greeted and treated with the upmost professionalism.Dr. Daftarian informed me i would need a root canal, she then started the treatment and kept me informed of everything going on during the procedure, She has great hands as I didn't feel a thing. I highly recommend Dr. Daftarian for all your dental needs!!

I am so grateful for Dr. Daftarian! Let me explain why. My wife and I are visiting from Utah. I have Invisalign. Not just any Invisalign, silver buttons on my teeth, rare case Invisalign. One morning I went to put a band on my button, and it was gone! Yes! It came off and guess what??? I swallowed it. I called my Orthodontist in Utah and he informed me that I would have to come all the way back to fix it, because he didn’t know anybody out in Palo Alto who could help me. That seemed like none sense to me, so I started calling Invisalign providers. To my utter shock, not one out of 20 providers were willing to help me. That is… until Dr. Daftarian came to the rescue! I mean she wasn’t wearing a Superwoman costume, but she might as well have, I heard glorious trumpets when she said she would help me. Here is what she did. She had me in her office on Monday. Determined that I needed to come back because she didn’t have my EXACT button. Ordered the precise button. Had me come back a few days later. Attached it and charged me…. NOTHING!!! I don’t know about you guys, but a woman who does a thorough job that no one else is willing to do, is Super in my book. Needless to say, my wife and I will be going to her office for these next three months, and because we spend six months out of every year here, she will be our dentist going forward.

What happens when you are desperate, it’s Thursday night, and they don’t open ‘til Monday? There’s a way…In addition: Novocain, thought I’d have flubby lip all day (yes, it’s not a word, it’s a feeling, or lack thereof.) The Dr. had adjusted for my short procedure, told me I’d be back to normal in about 45 min. And she was RIGHT. Yeah!
