Be careful.. My husband went for a cleaning and was told he has periodontal. They charged him $1300 for a peri cleaning, which included mouthwash, toothpaste and a bottle of supplements for $633. I found the mouthwash and toothpaste online for $117. Next was my visit, I was told the same but also needed 3 crowns. My bill was $5300. I decided to search for a second opinion. Dentistry of Tavares is awesome, and my cost for the same cleaning was $105, and no crowns are needed. When I went back and questioned my husband's bill, we were told to find another dentist. They took $1300 and fired my husband because I complained. I highly recommend you search a second opinion! See bills below.

The absolute best dentistry and staff. Angel goes above and beyond. Heather who just did a deep cleaning is spectacular. As far as Dr Hazen goes there is none better. If I would have had Dr Hazen and her staff when I was younger, there’s an absolute huge chance I would still have all my teeth. They say Disney World is a happy place, well I just found one better !Thanks to Dr Hazen and all her staff. I highly recommend

What a nice, clean, and friendly office! I went in with tooth pain. Angel, the dental assistant helping me, was a true ANGEL. She was so nice and helpful and did a fantastic job!!! Dr Hazen was great too... the explained what was happening and talked about the plan to fix it. I love the reminders by text and email to make sure i don't miss the appointments too.

The Hygienist I saw, Heather, is the best! The new office is wonderful and the office staff is always very helpful. Dr. Hazen is wonderful too! I had an emergency and Dr. Hazen saw me right away and took care of me. She is a very caring dentist! Heather, the Hygienist, did another superb job of my cleaning also! Great office staff as well.

I just left Dr. Hazen‘s office. I had my teeth cleaned by Heather who has been my hygienist for the last few years. She is very sweet, pleasant, and always makes the experience positive! Heather is always willing to share different ideas about how to keep my teeth healthy. Dr. Hazen comes in after to give an exam and always takes the time to ask me about how things are going in my life. She is very professional with a very warm demeanor and gentle. She explains everything as she goes a long. The entire office is very professional and I highly recommend this practice!!😀 No one loves going to the dentist but if I have to at least it feels good to be in a great setting with a gentle, dentist, hygienist!!!!😀

Question to everyone: If I offer to paint your house for an estimated $1000... do it, take the $1000 & not say anything further... only to come back & demand another $1500 3mths after the fact... or threaten to put a lien on your property... is that OK? Ms. Hazen believes that because the word "estimate" was on the bill... she CAN do exactly that. Here are the Facts. I want You to be the judge: 1) over the past 2+yrs, I've paid every single "estimate"(no less than 8-10x). 2) About 1mth ago, I recv'd a bill for $1408... out of the blue w/no explanation. 3) The office mgr. advised me that the person handling their coding/billing for the past 2+ yrs wasn't following the proper steps w/regards to billing insurance providers. 4)Apparently, this $1408 was a total of the incorrect "estimates" provided to me for the services rendered. 5) When I questioned the generic invoice & requested to meet each other somewhere in the middle, I was told by the office mgr. that she asked Ms. Hazen & she declined anything but the full amount. 6) The office mgr then admitted to me that she would be furious if this happened to her.My Advice to You:If you value trust & honesty in your Healthcare provider, I would recommend another dentist. While the work provided was acceptable, Ms. Hazen as severely lacking in both the ability to run a stand up business, as well as be a stand up individual. I feel terrible for the elderly and/or single mothers that go to this office on a fixed or limited income. It's truly a shame. What happened to me will undoubtedly happen to others. Please don't let it be you it happens to.

The level of care, attention to detail, and professionalism exhibited at Dr. Hazen’s office is incredibly amazing. I’m relatively new to the area and was a bit nervous about finding a dentist office. Fortunately this office has surpassed my expectations in more ways than one. Everyone - from the ladies at the front desk, to the dental hygienists, to Dr. Hazen is incredibly pleasant. Although unrelated to my care I really appreciate the level of respect and camaraderie amongst the staff. It’s evidently a very positive environment dedicated not just to patient care but the professional development of their staff. Thank you!

Dr. Hazen is a great dentist, and the hygienists and staff are kind and welcoming. The environment especially at their new facility is relaxing and inviting. My only complaint (what's keeping me from the 5th star) is that over the past 13 years, my out of pocket expenses have risen dramatically from no cost with insurance (except for a $25 optional fluoride treatment) to nearly $100 for a cleaning with no change to my insurance. Every experience is a good one with the outstanding staff that makes you feel welcome, but this is clearly a business whose processes are intended to bring in revenue. In the new office, after treatment you are brought into a separate office to discuss treatment plan details and financing options. The whole process of engaging in a treatment plan feels less like a healthcare situation and more like the process of buying a car. The calming music, beautiful landscapes on the TVs, and calming aesthetics all seem to be aiming at reducing the anxiety that many experience with dental care, but also with the financial challenge of paying for treatment. I suppose this is a good thing too. Nonetheless, if not for the very obvious sales process, I would give this an easy 5-star rating.Smiles By Hazen provides great value for the services they provide, but it comes at a premium. If you've got the cash, get ready for a great experience.

THEY ARE BRAKING THE LAW. They let a random guy cancel my appointment and not even call me to make sure it was right and they refused to listen to my concerns about my teeth did an unnecessary treatment and then 2 trips later I have to get fillings exactly where I was talking about they also tried to make a procedure seem like it was expensive and my insurance wouldn’t cover it when they was adding on a whitening treatment for $2000 talking in circles to confuse me and then later tried to confuse my mom. As of may 9th I’ve been to a different dentist and I’ve come to the conclusion this dentist is a money scam also they are violating HIPPA as they refuse to send me my dental records.
