Palm Harbor Smiles

This place is awesome! I have been dealing with another dentist office for over 2 months and today they got me in, did a cleaning, X-rays, AND scheduled a root canal for Monday for 100.00. The other office said (with insurance) I needed a 900.00 cleaning and they wouldn’t do it until I got all kinds of work done first. A tooth I was told needed an implant Dr Hill-Moses said I don’t even need a root canal for. I wish I hadn’t worried about insurance and found this place to begin with! I have terrible shakes and nerves at the dentists and I never once felt nervous here. When I move I may just drive all the way here for cleanings and work because once you can find a place to trust it’s worth driving across state lines. This is one of those places!!

I had a dental emergency I needed to get looked at for and I called my current dentist and they said they would get me in and then an hour later canceled my appointment. So I frantically was trying to find another dental facility that would take me because the pain and discomfort was so sever. I finally found a place who could get me in the next day and I thought everything was fine. That morning I called to confirm my appointment and they had told me they possible can’t take my insurance but they would let me know asap. I already knew where this was going so I immediately looked for another dental place and found Palm Harbor Smiles. Sure enough I never heard back from the other dental place so I stuck with my appointment with Palm Harbor Smiles and it was the best decision I have ever made. They got me in with no problem they so were so kind and understanding on the phone as well. I went in for my appointment and I was greeted by the most welcoming and friendly receptionist. Then the wait wasn’t long at all I was taken back got myX-Rays done and and the staff was phenomenal. Then the doctor came in to run some text and exams and ultimately tell me I needed a root canal. The doctor was absolutely fantastic and knowledgeable and made me feel so comfortable even tho she had to tell me someBad news I new I was in good hands. I even got an appointment to get my root canal only three days later! And that’s only because it was the weekend. All in all this whole entire practice is incredible and I couldn’t say enough nice things about this practice I would recommend to anyone !

The entire team at Palm Harbor Smiles has mastered the art of making dental visits downright enjoyable. I highly recommend for a top-notch dental experience.

After trying a few different dentists offices over the years, I finally found one I truly love - Palm Harbor Smiles 😁Like most people, I don’t particularly enjoy visiting the dentist. But at Palm Harbor Smiles, they go above and beyond to make your visit less stressful, and more relaxing.I appreciate the thought and effort they put into creating such a comfortable environment for their guests. From the moment you walk through the doors, you’re welcomed with a friendly smile, an inviting space, and a calm atmosphere, unlike other dentist offices.In the lobby, you’ll find a refreshment bar with water, coffee, tea, and sometimes candies or snacks. They have music playing, soothing videos on the TVs, aesthetically pleasing décor, and big windows with textured glass in each room. All of this makes the whole office feel zen-like.On top off all of that, the staff is truly wonderful - they’re all so friendly and kind! I’ve learned so much from them about dental care in general, and they’ve helped me to feel more confident in the future of my teeth. Beginning with Dr Hill-Moses, including her Dental Assistants, all way to the front desk staff….this has been the best experience with a kind, caring, and lovely group I’ve had the pleasure of dealing with in many, many years!They have all been more than wonderful in working with the complications that can come with an extraction and graft. I truly appreciate the entire staff!

I would give minus 5 stars if i could. Went for a 6 mos ckup & cleaning in June 2023. They claimed I needed deep cleaning/root planing, even though I was not having any issues with my gums & take good care Of my teeth. They wanted to put me through a painful procedure & charge me almost $1k. They actually did pocket scores on my gums and told me They were 4s, 5s and 6's in some areas, which is ridiculous, because i've always had good scores of 1s, 2s, a three here and there. (I had seen the same dentist in CO for 37 years.) I opted for a 2nd opinion & waited 6 months so my insurance would cover it. I found a dentist who came highly recommended & in biz for 40 yrs. Had a very thorough exam and he checked my gums himself. As I thought, no problems. Healthy scores. So far my experience w Healthcare in FL has been awful and this place is just 1 example. Beware of this practice. They are trying to con people into unnecessary work. Terrible

Great experience at Smiles. Kaitlin my hygienist is terrific, did a thorough job and did not leave my mouth feeling like a war zone. Melissa my dental assistant was great - the impressions and temp for my crown all went great and the temp fit perfectly.Dr. Hill-Moses knows her stuff and the crown prep was totally painless. Even the shots were no big deal. I actually won't mind going back!

Called to see if they would see my son for his tooth turning grey. Was told they were also a pediatric dentist and that they take his insurance. I get there and am told I need to take him to a pediatric dentist to get X-rays and they didn’t even look at it. Then they tried to charge me $90 and I asked why insurance didn’t cover it and she said “I spoke to the wrong person” okay so try to contact the right person before charging me. Then I received another text about balance due, I call and the lady argues the fact that they told me they take our insurance and said that she will listen to the call and let me know- they don’t have a message stating calls are recorded which is illegal in Florida, so I ask if they illegally record calls- she tells me it’s only illegal if it goes to court? Wrong. and the “office manager” gets flustered and asked if I need anything else. Very unprofessional and a huge waste of time.

My wife and I had our teeth cleaned earlier this fall. Our daughter was with us as I need help getting my wife around when using her walker. I went in first and after an hour was finished and she went in for her treatment I thought the work was very successful. I sat for awhile and then went for a walk outside and then returned to the office. After a bit I walked around and saw a sign on the counter asking for improvement suggestions. If one was submitted then the patient could spin a wheel and possibly win a prize. I asked the girl at the counter for a piece of paper and writing instrument and submitted a suggestion.. I then spun the wheel and it ended up on the space that said I had won a free cleaning. I thought the cost was $100 and learned later it was $150.. MY suggestion was to have some reading material. MY daughter had nothing to do for 2 hours and the same for my wife and myself for 1 hour. MY barber has reading material. Where my wife goes for her haircut, they have reading material. The dentist I went to before switching to Smiles had reading material.We are both happy we switched to Smiles. The technicians and Dr. were careful and were willing to explain what was happening and what we should do until the next visit.
