Dr. Tajaddod and her team were incredible! My son had crowding and a crossbite, but Dr. Tajaddod's expertise completely transformed his smile. They were always understanding of our busy school and work schedules, offering flexible appointment times. We're so grateful for the exceptional care and amazing results. Highly recommend! The photo below is from the date my son removed his palatal expanders after having his crossbite and crowding issues are fully corrected.

I’ve visited Dr. Tajaddod’s office for more than a year now. I especially like that Dr. Tajaddod and the staffs always deliver a positive attitude. I found that very encouraging and it helps me to feel more comfortable and less anxious during the Invisalign journey. I have some gum issues which makes it more complicated for my treatment plan. Dr. Tajaddod has been so professional to make the most appropriate treatment plan for me and explained clearly about the details I need to pay attention to. I would highly recommend Dr Tajaddod and her office.

Dr. Tajaddod and her staff are always friendly. From the day I went in for an Invisalign consultation, I immediately felt comfortable. Dr. and her staff are easy going and patient. They explained the costs and process clearly. I have crowded teeth and a front tooth that I was afraid would never be fixed by Invisalign. It's been a year and the progress is amazing. I have an aversion to dentists because of some fear/anxiety and I'm happy to say I now look forward to my regular check ups. Their office is very popular so I do block off plenty of time for my appointments in the morning before work especially if I have questions/concerns about the fit of my aligners. So do be mindful of the time it takes to go in for your check ups so that you're not rushing off to your next appointment. Thanks Dr. Tajaddod and staff! You've made my Invisalign journey a pleasant one!

Just finished my invisalign treatment with Dr. Tajaddod. I give Dr. Tajaddod a 5/5 and Invisalign a 4/5. Dr. Tajaddod knows what she is doing, is always friendly and respectful, and communicates well in all interactions. When my first set of aligners started to go off track around aligner 40 (of 52), she re-scanned and ordered another set. When those also started to go off track (maybe 30 aligners in), she re-scanned again and ordered another set of 18. I finished that last set recently. Just got my Invisalign Vivera aligners and they are quite comfortable. Dr. Tajaddod also has good friendly staff and assistants. The rest of this review is for Invisalign.I'd say my teeth are a whole lot straighter than when I started, but not quite perfect. I think I might have been able to ask for another set of aligners to go for perfect, but they were 90% there and it'd been a two-year journey. I believe the initial estimate was between 12-18 months, but I was wearing my aligners about 18 hours a day (occasionally less especially when traveling or out and about on the weekends) instead of the recommended 22 hours a day (which I managed for a couple of months at the beginning), so I started to wear my aligners for 1.5, 2, or even 3 weeks after I got my second set.My slight disastisfaction with Invisalign comes from a few issues I encountered. My first set had a lot of sharp edges which would hurt if I didn't file them down. By this, I mean the 3D printed aligner would curl a little at the edge and this curl would be poking into the sides of my mouth or my tongue. I got in the habit of looking for this every time I opened a new aligner and would trim a very thin amount off the edge with scissors to get rid of the curl in specific places where it was noticeable, and then filing the area to ensure smoothness and no rough/sharp spots.Beyond the sharp edges, every now and then I'd get an aligner where the area around one of my canine teeth (usually the lower right IIRC) would be clearly stretched out as if the plastic stuck to some manufacturing equipment when being removed and was not hugging my tooth light t should have been, but angled outwards instead. That angled portion basically rubbed up against the inside of my lower lip and was intolerable until I cut it off. I'm sure I did this on maybe a half dozen aligners.Fortunately, these problems seemed to get better with my second and third set of aligners. However, the final issue with the aligners were that all the sets had some kind of misalignment regarding the relative height of my teeth in specific areas, and not the same for each set. In my final two sets, for my two upper lateral incisors the aligners thought both of these teeth were closer in height to the central incisors then that actually were. I know because there was a perfect fit on the canine tooth and a not-perfect-but-not-that-bad fit on the central incisor and no amount of biting down on a chewy to force the aligner onto the lateral incisor that was in-between them was going to make the aligner fit perfectly. I blame the fancy Invisalign scanner for interpreting something incorrectly, or possibly some issue in the manufacturing process. All in all, Invisalign is an amazing technology and I don't think anyone would really know I was wearing them if I didn't mention it unless they saw me putting them back on after brushing my teeth at the office. It took longer than I was hoping, but I do blame myself at least somewhat for not adhering to the 22 hours a day guidelines. Every minute your teeth aren't moving in the right direction, they are trying to move back to their original position.

Merna Tajaddod has been a blessing for my family. All three of my children needed braces and all three had completely different profiles. Merna patiently worked with each one, and continues to work with my youngest. She provides expertise, frequent and clear communication and attention to detail in a warm and positive environment. Her staff is kind and helpful. Each patient is greeted by name and Merna makes it a point to get to know each patient. She works well with our dentist and our oral surgeon to provide the best overall treatment for our family. I have always felt a deep sense of trust when working with Tajaddod Orthodontics. I am so grateful for the referral and couldn’t imagine navigating my children’s’ care with another orthodontist.

I highly recommend this place to ALL people of ages with needing to fix their teeth. The staff here are very friendly and welcoming to getting my teeth fixed. I have noticed a major change with my crooked/overbite teeth with using Invisalign in a year. Other orthodontics I’ve seen said I need to remove 4 teeth to fix my crooked/overbite teeth and that lost my self esteem and decided to keep looking for other places. Luckily, I found Merna Tajaddod Orthodontics and best believe they rebuilt my confidence that I will get straight perfect teeth. This team is very well trained and knows what they are doing!

UPDATE FROM 2022: Dr Tajaddod and her staff have been amazing to me. I can smile without hiding behind a hand, I feel so much more confident, and importantly, my bite and dental hygiene has improved so much through having Invisalign treatment here! My advice: see Dr Tajaddod and listen to her. She knows her stuff, has high standards, and can tell when you haven’t followed directions (listen, my treatment survived pregnancy and pandemics, it was a rough few years…). The more effort you put into your treatment, the more you will thank yourself later. I’m astounded that I got the results I did. I’m so grateful to her and her staff.ORIGINAL POST FROM 2017: I haven’t yet received treatment, but my initial consultation almost had me in tears -- happy tears! Dr Tajaddod is exactly the kind of orthodontist I've been looking for. She's very passionate about her work, and her attention to my needs made me feel like she's really with me for this journey.

My situation was what they would call a “severe case.” If I remember correctly - two teeth removed prematurely on the same side of the mouth, resulting in intense “crowding” and the inability for new teeth to emerge.Dr. Tajaddod did an indubitably excellent job in resolving the situation - both orthodontically and psychologically. I mean - a lot of motivation was needed for my young 10 year old self to comply with difficult procedures that would eventually result in the reversal of an abomination of teeth to just a normal teen with Invisalign.I can’t thank Dr. Tajaddod enough for what she did for me. The legacy of her brilliant and professional work - a confident, natural smile - would accompany me through the rest of my life.

Dr. Merna is as good as any orthodontist can get. She takes a lot of pride in her work and is very passionate and goes above and beyond to solve the most complex ortho issues. I don't believe you can find any other Ortho in Palo alto, menlo park and los altos area that can work a magic like her (high quality work) at reasonable cost. Our insurance covered most of the cost which is awesome :)My daughter went to her with a deep deep bite and given we were late by a couple of years it created a massive challenge to fix her smile without removing any teeth. She didn't promise anything but 2 years out we are so close to not having to remove any teeth and yet her smile and bite are close to perfect. All I can say is, she takes care of her patients like a family and leaves no stones unturned in getting the perfect smile. No need to look around, just call Dr. Merna.
