I recently had the pleasure of visiting Akta for a routine dental cleaning. From the moment I stepped into the office, I felt welcomed and at ease, thanks to the warm and friendly atmosphere cultivated by Panama City Smiles. I recently had the pleasure of visiting Panama City Smiles and receiving treatment from their exceptional dental hygienist, Akta. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly by the staff, setting a welcoming tone for my visit.Akta's attention to detail and commitment to thoroughness. She didn't rush through the cleaning, but rather took the time to ensure every nook and cranny was meticulously cleaned. It's clear that she takes great pride in her work and is dedicated to providing the highest level of care to her patients.Overall, I can't speak highly enough of the amazing work done by Akta. Her professionalism, expertise, and genuine care for their patients truly set them apart. I highly recommend them to anyone in need of dental care.

The girls all did a great job. No problem whatsoever with the care I received. However as a first time patient I was quoted $99 for an initial exam/cleaning....then at checkout I was charged $386. I asked what happened to that introductory price and was advised that the price of the X-rays are not included as part of the exam. I've been a self pay patient for years, at other dentists. This was the first time the X-rays weren't included as part of the exam and cleaning price. I really wished they would have advised me of that when I was first quoted...that an exam, X-rays and cleaning was actually $386. That's a pretty big price bump from $99. Feeling a little misled. I think everything is pretty much alla carte. And if you're a cash patient don't fall for the $99 new patient quote....it's almost 4 times that

My family recently moved here from out of state . We didn’t have a dentist yet .My 93 year old Aunt.started having problems with her teeth. I tried calling a couple of the dentist offices that my friends recommended. No one could see her for several months even though she had a problem. I found Panama City Smiles on line and called them. They made an appointment for her right away. The people there were very kind and caring . They explained to us what needed to be done, and told us the cost .we are going back in a couple weeks for my aunt to get her teeth taken care of. So far I would highly recommend Panama City Smiles .

I have not been to a dentist in about 5 years. Life happens. And who likes the dentist?! I had an old filling break and I decided I better find somewhere. I went with Panama City Smiles since I had a few friends go there. I’ve been very pleased so far! My first visit as a new patient was just screenings and X-rays, which I knew that’s all it would be. I needed a deep cleaning in certain spots and needed a root canal for the broke tooth. Two days later I was in for the cleaning. Akta was my hygienist and she is great! I like the fact that we could laugh at certain things. She explained everything and answered any question I had. I was comfortable as I could be in the chair. Glad I went with them and I can now get back on track with taking care of my teeth!

So let me start off by saying hopefully your own a bank because by the time you’re done, your bank will be empty on things that they don’t tell you because all they want to do is continue to keep adding more and more and more had my teeth done. No one never said they was an extra charge Mind you I paid $17,000 and to have a complete they want another thousand so I said hopefully you own a bank

I had an implant procedure one of my front teeth, I lost it years ago playing Ice Hockey, the whole experience was top notch, from the moment I walked in the front door I was treated very proffessionaly, the procedure its self was painless and quick , Dr Patel s hand were very skilled, hardly any soreness, and quickly healed up. Amazing I have found my new Dentist.

Pray for me..Dr Patel was going to do a crown over an old metal filling I had when I was active duty army 15 years ago. I pointed out the day before after paying $1600 because I don’t have dental insurance that there was a bump in my mouth and I felt like it may be infected. He then said, oh it is. You need a root canal. He put a temporary on. I went over to the endodontist and it was $1100. I was in so much pain all night that I couldn’t take it anymore. I went into the office the next day and asked him to I please just remove it because I was in so much pain. I had finished Clyndamycin for a previous infection about a week before the extraction and he assured me I didn’t need anymore antibiotics.. I was immediately in so much pain after the extraction but tried to just give it time.. did the salt rinses and all that.. he did a bone graft with the extraction.. which I’ve never had before.. I went in several times for pain and he kept telling me I was fine.. I was battling horrible yeast overgrowth too from the antibiotics and I told him that too.. he still insisted I was fine. I went to Tennessee to visit my dying Uncle and was MISERABLE all last weekend. Felt like my head was going to explode. Severe chest pains. Heart palpitations.. fever.. ended up in the ER. The hospital said my d-dimer was elevated and feared a blood clot somewhere. Did an emergency ct on my chest and it was fine.. they didn’t want to scan my head because I had already had so much radiation exposure lately because I have several autoimmune diseases. Which, I also told Doctor Patel. I almost passed out multiple times in Tennessee. Heart rate would drop into the 50s.. felt like my head and sinus was going to explode. I treated everything by warm compresses and my sinuses hurt so bad I have been seeing stars.. by time I got home, I was running a fever. My heart rate has been all over the place. I went to Dr Patel, who this time seemed actually concerned and text the oral surgeon to get me in today..offered Z-Pack, which I told him wouldn’t work because I have Plaquenil in my system right now and ran out and don’t have any until I see Rheumatologist.. so he just said he would get me into oral surgeon today.. I ended up in the ER last night from the pain and heart palpitations.. just so happened to have a CT of my sinus this morning at my ENT. Showed that I had a hole in my maxillary from the tooth extraction and a massive infection. This is the THIRD antibiotic since November and I’m WORSE. I shivered all night last night. Heart rate sky high.. I was advised by my ENT to try and be admitted into the hospital immediately.. praying I’ll come out okay with this. I have four kids who need their mother and a husband who needs his wife.. I’ve never been so sick in my life and been dismissed so many times by multiple medical professionals.. I trusted these medical professionals to take care of me and now I’m worse off than I ever have been in my life and I’m TERRIFIED.. please listen to someone when they say something isn’t right with THEIR BODIES. I’m ex army.. military police. I’m pretty tough and have been through hell and back.. I neglected myself for over a year taking care of my children while my husband was in Korea, so this neglecting myself was on me.. never thought I’d have to pray for my life over an extraction gone wrong.. pray for me..

Let me start by saying every single lady that I met inside of this office was very very nice after speaking with the ladies in the office they informed me the scheduling is not typically on board with what actually happens in the office… I called for a cleaning they said I’m a new patient. I’ll do a new patient check in. No worries I get there two weeks after the fact for the cleaning all they did was take photos. Look at my teeth Took my co-pay and rescheduled me a month out. Just letting everyone know if your a first time patient just trying to get a cleaning it won’t happen. You have to do the first time patient check-in, and then you get to reschedule for cleaning…

I loved the people that work here!! The doctor on the other was in personable! Did not like her she left me hanging/ tilted backwards. Just left no good by no thank you nothing just left! Well except she did State. As long as it's good for insurance. Really!!!! It's all she cared about. Not me just insurance. I'll be asking for a different dentist!!!!
