Placentia Oral Surgery

Dr Young Jun was very professional, kind, and knowledgeable. He immediately identified the need for a tooth removal, bone graft, and implant. His state of the art CT scanner had my results very quickly during my office visit. When I first called his office they were able to schedule to see me the next day. Dr Jun's staff was extremely professional, calming as I nervous, and very through. Dr. Jun performed the tooth removal and graft two days after my appointment to allow time for Dental Dental of California to approve the procedure. I am very impressed with Dr. Jun and each one of his office and medical staff. I did not have to wait to be seen for either appointment. They called me to confirm my appointments and asked with sincerity if I had any questions. Dr. Jun called me a couple of hours after my surgery to check on me, which reassured me and made me know I mattered to him. I would 100% recommend Dr. Jun and each one of his excellent staff. They all make an amazing team. Dr. Jun performed my IV and it did not hurt in my hand. That was a first for me. Thank you Dr. Young Jun.

Everyone was such a pleasure. Stephanie helped breakdown the financial part and answewd all my questions. The day of the surgery I had Rose assist me, and I couldn’t have asked for a better assistant, she makes sure you're comfortable and help ease your nerves with fun conversations. Dr. Young Jun is a phenomenal surgeon, from the consultation he seemed to be invested in all his cases, he answered all my questions, and had a couple of laughs. Day of the surgery, he was amazing. 10/10, highly recommend Dr. Jun, and hopefully you'll be lucky to have Rose.

I am always happy to be in the surgical Hands of Dr. YOUNG JUN. His hard work keeps my surgeries safe and sound. The Staff at Placentia Oral surgery is knowledgeable and very kind and professional in the way they do their business and run their Firm, although sometimes it takes a while to be seen due to their high business demand. The pricing is competitive but very fair. The job they do at Placentia Oral Surgery is always complete and consistent. Thank you Dr. JUN and staff !!! 💘

Dr Jun and his staff are all very friendly and professional. I have had 3 implant procedures here and every time has been a great experience. I always feel knowledgeable of what will be done and what to expect my estimate for my patient portion will be. On top of everything else at my last visit on 4/8/24 I even got some chocolate Hagen Daze Ice cream in my take home bag which was a pleasant treat later that day. Thank you all for such a great experience doing something I would rather not have to.

My recent visit to this office was unfortunately disappointing and concerning, prompting me to issue a cautionary warning for future patients. Although the initial arrival to the office was uneventful, the experience quickly took a negative turn upon being called back.The nurse attending to us seemed ill-prepared and lacked knowledge about the office procedures, leading to confusion and uncertainty. I was particularly alarmed when my minor child was taken away for a height and weight check, only to discover later that unauthorized X-rays were also taken without my knowledge or consent.Furthermore, when I posed a medical question regarding anesthesia to the doctor, I was dismissed rather than given a thorough medical explanation, which left me feeling unheard and frustrated.Adding to the frustration, upon reviewing the charges, I was surprised to find that the office had billed us for a consultation fee that was not disclosed upfront. After addressing these concerns with the office manager and requesting a refund, they initially offered a credit, which I declined as I had no intention of returning for surgery. Eventually, they refunded the consultation fee to my credit card, though it remains unclear whether they billed my insurance for the unauthorized X-rays.Overall, my experience with this office was disappointing and concerning. I urge others to exercise caution when considering this office for their care. In contrast, I have found other offices in the Brea area to be incredibly professional and trustworthy, and I would recommend exploring alternatives outside of this practice.

I was really happy with my first visit, the office staff was friendly and caring, and Dr. Jun was able to explain/show me what was going on with my case, and laid out a more than affordable treatment plan. Throughout my whole consultation, I was accompanied by friendly staff and was able to get all my questions answered.Compared to a different consultation I had with a different office, I was looking at a long, expensive process, but Dr. Jun surprised me when he said he would be able to do a surgical extraction, grafting, and the implant in one 45min procedure! Very honest in their work, and really made me feel comfortable. So far, I would definitely recommend this office for a visit if you haven't done so and are looking to get work done. They definitely have a nice setup with great technology. I look forward to getting my work done at this office.

This place is a mess. They send samples to a lab in Pennsylvania and when you call that lab in PA, they have no idea about the doctor in Placentia. Since the lab in Pennsylvania does not take my CA insurance I could have been liable for about $450 instead of the $40 co-pay that I could have paid to a CA lab. When I went there a couple of weeks ago their camera was not working. They used MY CAMERA to take pictures of the mouth and asked me to email it to them :-(. I paid them for the consult but this was a colossal waste of my time. - Thanks.

WONDERFUL...AWESOME... EXCELLENT. What more can I say. Professional personal with very kind hearts. Extremely available to explain and answer any question you may have. And Dr Reed Dickinson was perfect.If you EVER need oral surgery this is the only place to go.Oh.......did I mention how very very reasonably priced they were. I would not recommend this business because the customer service is horrible. The front staff is pushy and the doctor is quite rude and unprofessional. They up-charge anytime they can and sneak in hidden fees. They rope you in with X-rays but conveniently add on additional out of pocket “special” X-rays for an additional $400. The staff doesn’t explain why- they just fast talk you while they press a ton of buttons on the screen while they nudge you to hurry up and sign. The whole process is pretty sketchy. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else and save yourself the loss and headache!

Please take this review seriously, and if I can give Dr. Jun a 10, I would. Earlier this year, I went to Dr. Jun for a biopsy which resulted in the beginning of my cancer journey. His professional demeanor, follow up, friendliness and accuracy of everything he said was unbelievable. He referred me to the top surgeons in the state, and I couldn't have done this well without him.Every so often Dr. Jun would take his time out of his busy day to write me an email or call me. His generosity has truly blown me away.If you're looking for not just best-in-class work, but a lifelong relationship, do not go anywhere else. Dr. Jun is the best.
