Dr. Halpern is an excellent dentist. Danielle does a fabulous cleaning job. The staff (especially Michelle) are helpful and friendly. High;y recommended!After several years, I still feel the same about Dr. Halpern, Danielle and the staff. Everyone in the office is top notch and highly recommended. However, I would like to inform the public about the differences between my experiences with Michelle and another highly regarded dental group.Michelle is the epitome of efficiency. She handles all aspects of the office (appointments, insurance, finances, etc) without a hitch. She makes everything look so easy. Consequently, I have been spoiled and assumed Michelle was the norm.My recent experience at another dental office could not be more different. The office employed 3 people at the front desk and 1 person that deals with financial matters. The personnel were ill prepared for my visit and required several calls from me before I could get the information I need.This treatment made me greatly appreciate Michelle and realize that she is truly something special. She is efficient, smart, hard working and professional. Best of all, she exhibits these qualities while always maintaining a pleasant and kind demeanor.

I had a crown done by Dr. Halpern today and it was a very positive experience. This was the first time I’ve ever had a crown so I didn’t know what to expect. She explained every part of the procedure to me, and was very patient with my questions. The office staff is also fantastic! So friendly and accommodating. The technology Dr. Halpern utilizes throughout the procedure and to create the crown (while you wait) is state of the art! The crown was completed in very little time and looks perfect. Thank you Dr. Halpern!

I am extremely thankful to have met Dr. Halpern, she took me as a new patient after a failed dental procedure done elsewhere. Her knowledge, bedside manner, care and top notch technology made my dental procedures a complete success and a positive experience.Now because of Dr. Halpern, I no longer fear the dentist, I think I almost fell asleep while my crown! thank you!

Dr.Halpern and the entire staff are the sweetest group that I've ever had the pleasure of working with. They have done a Herculien job of restoring my smile, bite and overall dental heath! I'm almost at the end of a long road that has included numerous Extractions, Implants,Root canals, Crowns and cavities. Dr. Halpern and the entire staff go out of their way to make sure that you are feeling good and looking great! Her artistry in making a perfect crown, that completely matches my other front tooth is just amazing. Her talents are endless. The staff is not just taking great care of you, they have become great friends! I can never fully tell you how appreciative I am for all the hard work that you have put into my smile and my overall health. I will be forever grateful for getting my smile back and therefore, a part of my life back! ❤️

All the staff at Port Jefferson Smiles are highly professional! I am someone who is highly anxious about dental work and they are always empathetic, caring, and make sure I am comfortable at all times. Dental work can be pain free! Dr.Karyn Halpern is truly one of a kind, she is a master in her field while being gentle and thorough in everything she does. I have had great experiences with Dr. Brandon Katz as well. He goes out of his way to make sure you’re comfortable and is very thorough. Very talented and compassionate staff all around. I have been coming here for almost ten years and have had positive experiences every time. Thanks you to everyone who works there. I’m not sure why this place has a 4.9 rating. I called about getting veneers and the office manager Michelle said well I’m going to be honest you should go somewhere else before even getting my background. Somebody else also wrote that they convinced her to go elsewhere- what a bizarre place?! How do they make money? Is this some kind of underground shady place that doesn’t do dentistry at all. Then I asked if the dentist did root canals and she said nope only a endodontist does that. That’s false- general dentists do them as well maybe not as many. I called her out on that and she said well I don’t know what you’re talking about. Such an odd place and odd manager. Not a good experience

As an update, this office is my favorite dentist I’ve been to ever. Every couple of months, I begin to dread going to the dentist, however every-time I step foot in this office. They are personable from the reception area, to the dental assistants and of course the Doctor. My anxiety begins to subside because these people genuinely do care about making these visits as easy for their patients as possible. Never have I felt more comfortable being in a dentist’s chair. Thank you to Dr. Halpern and the wonderful team for making Dental Care more pleasant.

Dr Halpern is a top professional. She is an intelligent, friendly, talented and capable perfectionist who puts time and effort into her work. I had a crown put in recently and it was painless and Dr Halpern made the crown right in her office. Everything down to the color/shade of the tooth was beautiful. I visited my orthodontist after getting the crown and it took him a minute to figure out which tooth had the crown! She also has a great office staff and hygienist. Michele at the front desk is lovely, professional , capable and makes it a pleasure to call this office.

I have been a patient of Dr. Halpern for years now, and each encounter with her makes me love her more. I woke up this morning with my new permanent cap, and couldn't be more thrilled with the results...no pain, perfect match and alignment, total natural bite and appearance, perfect everything! Dr. Halpern is an artist, in addition to being a brilliant dentist and caring person.

I am updating my review. I do not recommend this dentist. She put a crown on a tooth that needed a root canal. Went into pain a week after she put it in. In addition to that she wouldn't see me when I went into pain. Referred me to an endodontis because she already knew I needed a root canal. That dentist couldn't see me for several days. She still wouldn't see me to at least get me out of pain. If that wasn't enough I had an appointment for her to fill a cavity that no other dentist I've gone to since can find. I shutter to think what she was going to fill.
