Cheng Orthodontics

10/10 recommend Dr. Cheng and his staff.My son has recently started his orthodontist experience at the young age of 6! Cheng Orthodontics has been so great. They have thoroughly walked us through the plan of care, been so patient with my son, and all the staff are so friendly! It’s hard to find offices like this anymore.

Within 1 week of the braces being put on, we already saw positive results. The staff are super nice and answer all questions thoroughly. We were impressed to receive a phone call from Dr. Cheng the evening that the braces were put on to check and see how it was going.My daughter just finished the 8 months of the first phase and we are so happy that we made the decision to go ahead with early treatment. She has had dramatic results and we know that the next phase will go just as smooth with such a great doctor and staff.Update: Still a 5-star review! My daughter just finished phase 2 and we could not be more pleased with the results! We recieved a pleasant surprise yesterday and my daughter was able to get her braces taken off 3 months prior to what was expected! the staff are always so accomodating and kind. My son started his treatment at Cheng Orthodontics in September 2022 after a terrible experience at Orthodontic Experts of Rockford. The difference between these 2 offices has been tremendous. Dr. Cheng’s staff are extremely patient, kind and supportive. They are always communicative whether it is through phone, text or email. Dr. Cheng is very thorough and did not recommend the next steps until he was sure everything was perfect. My son now has braces off and his teeth look amazing. He still has a few adult teeth that haven’t came in, so he will need some more work in the next year. However, all in all, this has been a great experience!

Dr. Cheng and his team have been everything that we were hoping for in an orthodontist and more. We never feel rushed when we are there and always feel like our needs are being met and exceeded. Highly recommend!EDIT- treatment is now complete for phase one and we still have nothing but great things to say about Dr. Cheng and his staff!!

The staff at Cheng Orthodontics were warm and welcoming from my first appointment through to my last appointment! The techs and doctors are all so kind and informative, which helped ease my “dentist anxiety.” And even though I started my braces journey with Dr. Ito and ended with Dr. Torres, I would still recommend this business for anyone needed orthodontic treatment. Thank you all so much for my beautiful smile!!!

We have two sons that went through the braces process with Cheng Orthodontics. We also have an older daughter that went through orthodontic care with two other doctors at two different times in her life, so I feel we have adequate basis for comparison. Dr Cheng’s office is beautiful and his front end staff are wonderful. But, if you are looking for any meaningful interaction with Dr Cheng, you’ll be disappointed. He has very little patient interaction, and even after I requested time to speak with him it didn’t happen. If you have an older kid/ teen, this may not be super important to you, but if you have a much younger child – my children were in first and third grade while receiving care- or if your child is having specific issues, you may want to speak to a doctor, and not always an assistant. We’ve had much better doctor/ patient interaction at other offices. Also, other offices have a lifetime retainer guarantee in this office does not. Just something to consider.

We have been so happy with the staff and services provided. I have never had an issues getting my daughter in for an appointment in a timely manner for any reason. Even if we call after hours with issues like loose brackets or poking wires, we always get a call back before the next business day opens and are always worked in on same day working with our availability. They are always so patient and kind - my daughter has never feared or hated going to her orthodontist appointments. Definitely highly recommend!

We have had an absolutely fantastic experience! The office staff is always so nice and welcoming. My daughter has loved everyone she has had at all of her appointments. Everyone explains things as they are happening during her appointments and always make sure to explain things to me afterwards. We love Cheng Orthodontics and would recommend them to everyone!!

I absolutely LOVE Cheng Orthodontics. You can feel they don't treat patients as "Just Patients". They are all so friendly and welcoming from your first appt to your last. My Daughter, Brieann absolutely adores the staff and when your kid does it means the world to a parent. Rachel and Erica are by far my favorite but it isn't a competition in a well organized clinic. They all make it a great,comfortable place to come to.

Many of our friends and family referred us to Dr. Cheng so we knew we had to check it out. Immediately after walking in we knew we made the right choice. This place is awesome! It was a very clean environment and the staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. Also the decor was focused around kids which we thought was pretty cool. They even have video games and movies to watch while you wait. My son even got to watch movies that were displayed on the ceiling while getting his braces adjusted.He just got his braces off and his teeth are beautiful! We’ll definitely be sending our daughter there as well when she is ready. Thanks Dr. Cheng!
