The Sugar House Dentist

I called because I had a filling break off and they were able to get me in the day after I called. My experience from the call to the visit was great. The person who greeted me when I walked in and took my payment was fabulous. I want to call out Richard, the dental assistant who has helped me at least twice now. What a kind, incredible human. I feel lucky to have such a great dental assistant who is not only great at their job but seems to genuinely care about people and it shines through. Thank you to the entire team for a great experience! In a world where to me it seems like customer service skills are becoming a lost art, they excel. You guys rock!

I've lived in 7 different states, and so I'm frequently a new patient at a dental practice. My experience at Sugar House Dentist has BY FAR been the most positive of all the places I've sought care. Dr. Faringa is very skilled and the whole show runs on a tight schedule, which I appreciate. I can't recommend this practice enough.

After multiple visits to The Sugar House Dentist in Salt Lake City, I feel compelled to share my disappointing experience with this practice. While their office appears professional at first glance, the actual patient care falls significantly short of expectations. Appointment Scheduling and Wait Times The most frustrating aspect of this practice is their severe overbooking issue. Despite marketing themselves as "We Can See U Now," the reality couldn't be further from the truth. When I was diagnosed with what they described as a "major issue" with my gums, I was shocked to learn they couldn't schedule treatment for one to two months. For a supposedly urgent dental condition, this waiting period seems not only excessive but potentially harmful to patient health. The practice's approach gives the impression that their primary focus is maximizing revenue rather than prioritizing patient care. The contradiction between urgently diagnosing serious conditions while being unable to provide timely treatment raises serious questions about their priorities. It appears their business model relies on identifying as many billable issues as possible before patients potentially seek care elsewhere due to the extended wait times.

I saw Dr Feringa today and it was great! I had an emergency, one of my teeth broke in half yesterday and they were able to get me in this morning, get the tooth fix and ready to be crowned. I have to go back in 2 weeks for my permanent …

5 stars! Fast and everyone was nice. My appointment was easy and everything was explained well for my Invisalign. Shout out to Trinity at the front desk.

Front desk reception was so warm and professional yet attentive to our needs as we were processing our mission papers. Liz was even willing to drop off the signed forms to our home on her lunch hour! Love the dentists and staff!

I’m so happy to have found this place. The dentists and hygienists in this office have been instrumental in helping me overcome my trauma from past dental offices. I’ve been coming here for almost 7 years, have gotten cleanings, filling, crowns, and Invisalign done with them, and I can’t recommend them more.

This is the best dentist office! After having issues with a tooth and being told by my past dentist he didn’t know what it could be, I came here and had the problem fixed right away. Everyone is so kind and great about explaining the process, super thorough and the quality is 10/10. You can’t go wrong with any of the dentists either, they are all amazing!

Dr. David Thorup is a dream come true when it comes to your dental needs, he is THE best! I had a dental emergency on a Sunday night and he took care of me right away. He has taken care of my smile for years and I have had nothing but the best from him. He is extremely gentle, compassionate, and skilled in all aspects of dentistry. You can tell that he cares just as much about me as he does my teeth. I also need to give a shout out to all the employees at the Sugarhouse Dentist. They are also kind and empathetic. They make me feel comfortable and at ease there. I have always had a fear of going to the dentist, but now I don’t feel that way because I feel at ease due to their kindness and compassion. I HIGHLY recommend 5 stars and 2 thumbs WAY up!!!

I had veneers done by Dr. Feringa and it was the best experience I could have asked for! I am pretty particular about my dentistry since I was raised by a dental hygienist, but this dental office really exceeded my expectations. I have been getting cleanings here for 2 years now and finally made the decision to get my veneers done once I felt like I could trust them. Again, the process could not have been better with Dr. Feringa. She was very efficient, quick, and precise. She also checked in on every part of the process to make sure I was loving the results and made modifications to things as soon as I brought it up. I couldn't recommend this place more!
