South Texas Orthodontics - La Cantera

Got my adult braces at South Texas Orthodontics and am loving the experience so far! The staff is so friendly and attentive. It’s been 8 weeks and I’m already thrilled with the changes I’m seeing!Update: I’m at the halfway mark with my treatment plan and can’t say enough great things about my progress and experience. The staff is amazing. The receptionists are so kind and welcoming. Becca (my usual tech) is awesome at explaining what she’s doing and preparing me for any changes. One time I had to get my wire off for a dental procedure and the office was so quick to accommodate me. They even stayed after-hours so I could come back and get my wire back on right after my dental appointment!

I started my treatment last year with Invisalign, correcting work that my last orthodontist fell short on. I did my work with Dr. Amy Jackson, and she was so sweet and meticulous about my teeth. Her staff Sam and Rebecca helped me every step of the way and were able to provide the support needed when I had attachments that came off along with recommendations on how to get the most out of my visit. Would highly recommend this place and so grateful with my results! Thank you again!!!

A very good place to come get a better smile and better your oral hygiene. So far I’m in braces and it’s being going great. I’ve seen a lot of good results and I look forward to my appointments because they always treat you well and make you feel comfortable and at the same time doing their job very well. 10/10 would recommend coming here I promise it’s worth every cent!!

We love this orthodontist (Dr. Jackson) and the environment. The staff here are so kind and always friendly! We feel so blessed to be able to have care from this group!!💜She has made all the difference for my kiddo and we are continuing treatment! 😀We also wanted to mention our FAVORITE ASSISTANT IN THE OFFICE, BECCA, SHE A SWEETIE!!! 💜 🏼

my daughter is a patient of Dr Jackson for her braces… the office environment is relaxed which makes every visit a pleasant experience. everything was explained thoroughly & comprehensively. at times when clarification was needed (or instructions forgotten 😉) the office staff was exceptionally responsive - any questions we’ve had have always been answered expeditiously. very happy to recommend this office to anyone in need of the services they offer!!

I’ve been contemplating leaving this review for months, but after 3 months of always being disappointing when I floss and look in the mirror I’ve decided I will not continue to be silent.Firstly, every interaction with the staff and dental assistants were always pleasant. The problem for me was Dr. Jackson.Her demeanor and attitude was NEVER inviting. I only felt comfortable expressing any problems to the dental assistants.My teeth still have gas and I remained in my braces for longer than expected to get the gaps closed. Because I had recently moved out of state and I was having to travel long distance for my appointments Jackson offered to close the gaps with the retainers. I politely declined because I’d paid over 5k for the brace which means that they should come off with everything in perfect positions.My teeth have since spaced and I immediately told the team when I noticed. I requested new retainers with tighter measurements… There was 0 accommodation with me being out of state AND I never received my 2 week virtual check up with Jackson as promised so that I could tell her all of this.Honestly, I’m super disappointed and highly irritated because I spent thousands for “just enough” results.P.S. 2 stars because my teeth did straighten but left with gaps and the staff amazing. Otherwise I would definitely give a 1 star.I wrote this at 1AM because it pisses me off every time I floss before bed to feel those spacing and tonight just put me over the edge.

Dr. Jackson is beyond incredible... a master at teeth I must add actually. Not only has she taken great care and thought in explaining how her approach would be in aligning my teeth, but also is amazing AND shows that she is truly passionate in the artwork she does to create THAT perfect smile. It’s rare nowadays to find someone like that. A combination of both her and the assistant I had Sam, made my visits painless, efficient, and enjoyable. One thing I must say and was extremely impressed was how both assistant and doctor wanted nothing more than for ME to be happy with my personalized and well thought out treatment plan. Any question I had, both Sam and doctor, INCLUDING FRONT DESK, I cannot leave them out, they were amazing, had an answer and I never left an appointment feeling like something could have been done better. I knew I was in great hands since day one. As someone who is an RDA himself and wanting to pursue a career in dentistry, I highly recommend becoming one of her patients. The team there will take great care of you.

My daughter’s braces were placed here and she had an amazing experience. They explained the process to me in full details with pictures and models. I had no questions after as the explanation of the procedure was very thorough. Jennifer was helpful throughout the entire process! She was absolutely amazing. She even checked on my daughter the following day to make sure everything was okay and that i didn’t have any questions, my daughter loves her braces!

Took my 14 year old son he is on the spectrum ASD wasn’t sure if Invisalign was a good idea the staff was awesome with him. Bekah is a great dental assistant wise and kind hearted. My sons smile is beautiful perfectly aligned teeth such a great experience for him. Thank you Dr Jackson for your knowledge skills and kindness. Daniel V mom

I absolutely love my results! I was always embarrassed of my smile and now I smile with confidence! All the staff and Dr. Jackson are true gems! They are extremely sweet and were ALWAYS gentle! They ALWAYS answered my questions and assisted in showing me proper care for my retainers! I highly recommend their office! I attended the office at La Cantera. You wont be disappointed!
