Dr Chan & staff were great with providing explanations & answered all questions/concerns thoroughly. Very caring; constantly checking on my physical comfort throughout the procedure. Follow up call same day after procedure to further check on my well being.

Dr. Rittenbach explained all the procedures clearly, answered my questions and followed up after each procedure. I appreciated her friendly and open manner that also put me at ease. Dr Rittenbach is kind, empathetic, responsive and patient. Staff are really helpful and professional and even help me figure out the estimate of my insurance coverage, despite being out of network. Recommend to anyone who requires sedation for wisdom tooth removal or dental implant.

I was referred to Dr. Michael Chan by my dentist for an evaluation for multiple dental implants. My teeth were damaged when I was young & I've been steadily chipping away at all the work I need done. When I called to make my consultation, the woman I spoke with was very detailed about the process & clear that while they were out of network, that they still work with my dental insurance. She told me they'd collect in full for the consult at my visit, do the insurance billing for me, & that my insurance would send me a refund check if I had out of network coverage. I got my treatment plan from the Dr., (who was very kind and thorough), spoke with their finance person, & got a preauthorization started. They sent my procedure details to my insurance to figure out an estimate of how much money I'd be out of pocket. No big surprise, my insurance didn't do much, but at least I wasn’t going into the surgery blind about my reimbursement. Surgery was painless (except to my bank account), & everyone from the girls at the front desk, the assistants, & the doctor were super informative & empathetic. It really helps when you are anxious to know that your care is going to be top notch. Doctor Chan called to check on me after my surgery & the office sent pamphlets & videos about post op care in case I was too loopy to remember. They also went into detail with my ride, who was going to be taking care of me, as to what to expect and how to help. My recovery has been a breeze & now I'm just saving up for the next steps with my dentist. Amazing practice. Sad that I need all this dental work done, but happy I found a place I can trust.

I had 2 implants by Dr. Michael Chan, he and his staffs are courteous and professional. They refunded part of my payment because I did not need a full sinus lift. I highly recommend SF Oral Surgery.

Dr Rittenbach is both a very compassionate and a very competent surgeon who takes time to explain all the steps involved in a procedure. The nurses/attendants are all friendly and responsive. I’ve been to some dentists’/oral surgeons’ offices that had windows and natural light which I found suits me well. SF Oral Surgery isn’t one of those so personally I felt a bit cramped as I’m a big guy. I only mention it so other patients can be prepared.
