This was my 3rd time wearing braces and by far the best experience. They are truly one of the best teams in healthcare that I have had the pleasure being a patient of. I always scheduled my appointments for first thing in the morning because their energy is untouchable. Everyone is knowledgeable and the practice goes beyond to give outstanding service. What I appreciated most was the fact that Dr. Murphy gave me options in the beginning of my treatment and allowed me to make the decision based on my personal needs. They are truly THE BEST!

Southern Maine Orthodontics in Scarborough Maine is hands down the best organization I have worked with to get my teeth to where I want them to be. Dr. Murphy is the most talented and generous orthodontist I have ever had the pleasure to work with. From the moment you walk through the door he is nothing but smiles and good vibes. He genuinely wants the best for your teeth and works with your life style in mind. I participate in consistent training with jujitsu, and mentioned concerns about my teeth. He made me a mouth guard with my teeth scans and got me in THE NEXT DAY. If you are struggling finding an orthodontist, go to Southern Maine orthodontics. You will simply not find better people or talent anywhere else.UPDATE A FEW MONTHS AFTER INITIAL POST:THEY HAVE DONE IT AGAIN!! I had chipped my tooth and and attempted to have my dentist (not in relation to Southern Maine Orthodontics) fix it years prior. It resulted with my smile being slanted (even though my teeth were pretty straight). I had always been upset about that encounter, but when I had mentioned it to Dr. Murphy he CREATED a solution. He reshaped my upper TEETH (not just the one that was effected by the chip) and I left his office with an amazing new smile. To be completely honest, my teeth have never looked this good in my entire life. The level of confidence this orthodontist and his team have brought into my life is priceless and I could not be more grateful. With all that being said, go to Southern Maine Orthodontics if you want a team that creates jaw dropping dental results and cares about all of their patients well being!

I’m 22 years old. I’ve been coming here for the past 2 years now and I’m absolutely so happy when I get to come in. Whether it’s a bad day, or good day, I always leave with a smile on my face because I genuinely feel a connection with the whole office and I feel like they really care about me. They are ALL excellent and very personable. It’s a great place to go if you’re looking for orthodontia care.

As someone who had braces previously and didn't understand the importance of retainers as a teenager, I sought out Invisalign in adulthood. Opted for an orthodontist instead of my dentist, as I wanted someone trained in moving teeth/bite correction.Dr. Murphy and his team have been fantastic, so flexible, and very kind over the few years. Highly recommended!

Dr. Murphy and the whole team were great throughout my experience. They truly went above and beyond to be accommodating during my treatment. I had a complicated orthodontic case and they were always understanding and helpful whenever I had questions or needed last minute care/adjustments. The entire team is wonderful and I would recommend to anyone!

Dr. Murphy and his staff are amazing! At 59, I thought I was way too old to get braces but I was tired of the pain in my mouth from crooked, misaligned teeth that I wanted to do something. I met with the doctor and we discussed options and then made a plan. Today, 2 1/2 years later, I was officially discharged from treatment. My teeth look FANTASTIC and I feel wonderful. I can smile without being self-conscious or embarrassed. Dr. Murphy and his staff supported me throughout treatment and they were always friendly and kind. It was actually fun to see them during visits. This is a great place!

Choosing to get orthodontic work done at 36 years old was a little daunting. I met with a few different Orthodontists in the area before deciding to come here. I did end up choosing Invisalign, which I felt was the best decision for me at that time. Dr. Murphy was awesome from the very beginning. He is extremely friendly and easy to talk to. The office is an "open concept" so there are other patients there when I had visits, and Dr. Murphy and the staff are great with patients of all ages - from children, to teens and adults. Most importantly, I love the results and feel so confident with my new smile!

They made the Invisalign experience a seamless process for me and adapted my treatment plan to ensure I ended up with the dream smile I wanted. This is the best place you can possibly go to even when I had given up on my self not wearing my elastics and had just given up. The hole team here at southern Maine orthodontist had my back and believed In me. Now my teeth are better than ever and I can not show as much appreciation as they deserve. With 2 sons who needed multiple phases of orthodontic work, my family has been going to Southern Maine Orthodontics for over 10 years, and we couldn’t be happier with our choice. The front desk staff is always smiling and welcoming, and very patient when needing to reschedule appointments multiple times.Dr. Murphy and his orthodontic team are very professional and also welcoming and friendly, and my sons enjoy talking with them while their in the chair.
