I really am pleased with this establishment, no one wants to go to the dentist, let's keep it real, but I am very pleased to say how friendly the staff is, and they make you feel a little more at ease. I go back in 2 weeks, I am very pleased with the dentist, heck very pleased with the whole experience! Friendly reminder, brush your teeth!❤️

This is not the first time I've visited Family Smiles, but it is my first time being seen by Dr. Chang. I walked in a bit anxious, and left feeling like the entire experience was so much quicker and more positive than I could have ever hoped for. I needed quite a bit of work done, and didn't know if it could be completed in one day, let alone within less time than I expected. Everything was completed on the first visit. Everything went swimmingly, and I could not be more impressed with a dentist and his staff. Every person I had interaction with was personable, professional, and put me at ease. I'm glad to have such an office and staff nearby, and will continue to keep Family Smiles as my go-to for dentistry.

I would never bring your kids here.They only have the one doctor now, and he won’t do caps or fillings in his office, he has nearly no patience for autistic kids or even my oldest GT child…He also doesn’t feel the need to listen to the parent when we say what choice we want to go with and what we want to pay!! The doctor became irritated with me and told me he’d just refer me to a specialist for A FILLING. I told him don’t worry about and asked the assistants to give me whatever I need to share with my new dentist and for them to pull records!!

My son needed treatment for 6 cavities. He was scheduled to have all of them capped. He had so much anxiety, and I let them know how afraid he was beforehand, but he braved up and went in and did his best. After the first 2 were finished, it got hard for him and he started gagging over and over. I reminded them that he has a very sensitive gag reflex, but they kept on trying to work on the other side. He gagged until he vomited and they just sucked it out and kept on going. He was crying and saying ouch. I could tell the Dr. was getting irritated, when my son said ouch, the dr mumbled “I haven’t even touched you yet”and he kept telling my son he had to cooperate so he could finish. When I say he was crying, I don’t mean he was throwing a fit. He was laying still, in the chair weeping with his mouth wide open and the nitrous mask over his nose. It got to the point I told them to stop because he was petrified, tears rolling down his cheeks and trembling. The Dr said, fine, he’s going to have to be sedated to finish this. I told them I will not reschedule with them to have his treatment finished and that the Dr. was out of line and it never should have gone that far. He got 2 of the 6 teeth capped. My son cried the whole way home and was trembling. It was awful. We have been going to family smiles for a few years now. The staff has always been very sweet and helpful and compassionate with my kids. This location has had many dentists come in and out of there over the years, all of which have been pretty good with my kids, but this newest one did not have a good bedside manner or compassion for a scared 6 year old boy.

The doctor was very professional and detailed. He really took time to speak with me about my concerns and my teeth cleaning was thorough, painless, and well appreciated. However phone staff are difficult to get to or through. You call Sulphur Springs and you get someone in Greenville or Dallas. You can’t just return calls and this can lead to a run around and frustration. All over though a solid 4.

I am in severe pain with swelling and drove in to see dentist today at noon to follow up with dentist. He saw me, said he will refer me to a specialist and call in pain medication. SECOND TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED- NO PAIN MEDICINE WAS CALLED IN TODAY. I have confirmed this with my pharmacy. The office staff responsible for prescriptions is HORRIBLE! I will be crying in pain all night. Something needs to change in this office, better training. This is CRUEL!!! Be sure to check on your prescriptions before they go home at 4. Inexcusable if you ask me.

I made an appointment with this dental office and advised them I used either Carrington 500 or 1Dental discount program. They made me an appointment and texted me for a confirmation which I acknowledged. They acknowledged my confirmation immediately.Six days later another text was sent telling me they were excited about seeing me. The next day another text was sent reminding me of my appointment. I drove 30 minutes from my house to make my appointment and when I got there they told me my appointment was cancelled because they couldn't verify my insurance coverage. I don't have insurance I have a discount card. They didn't even give me the option to pay cash, just cancelled my appointment. I am 73 and my teeth hurt. We makeappointments at dentists offices because we are in pain as I am.I have been going here since it opened never had a problem until now.

My Initial contact with front office staff at Family Smiles of Sulphur Springs was very positive. They all were pleasant and efficient. This encouraged me to follow through on scheduling appointment with the dentist . Protective measures were being taken that are required during this Pandemic. Front office, waiting area and bathroom facility were very clean. I received phone reminders of forthcoming appointment which is very helpful. Today was my initial appointment and X-ray technician was so patient as were each of assistants. My dental care will be extensive and the Dentist reassured me he would give me different options for me to choose from taking into consideration what I can afford. Before I left, the assistant gave me a printout which itemized care done to date and projected treatment for next appointment. Finally I found the dentist was kind and made me feel secure that he was knowledgeable.

My daughter is almost 2 we was there for a check up with new dentist just moved here. Staff is rude first of all and it was hot in there. The doctor was not friendly rough with my daughter. He didnt speak to her or norhing and spent a whole 3 mins with us after waiting 35 mins. I will not be taking my daughter back. The family smiles in commerce is exceptional we loved them idk what the heck this places problem is.

We’ve been going here since we moved here a couple of years ago. Recently the Drs who originally opened the practice have come back and I am SO happy they have (we’ve never met them til now)! I was on the fence about finding a new office until my son and I had our appts with them. They were great! Very knowledgeable. Explained everything to us. Answered all of our questions and put our worries to rest. I am glad to say that we will continue to be patients here.
