I’m the stupid one. Disappointed twice. I went in for a crack in my veneer, no pain, it happened a year ago so I figured I should get it fixed. Unhappily, I have ground down opposing teeth from the original veneer, and now an ill fitting crown with jagged margins, & a toothache as a replacement.I felt like I was part of an assembly line while I was there with no attention to detail.Now I get to find an endodontist. Oh boy. :(

Although it's premature to evaluate the final outcome, my initial experience at this South Tampa Smiles clinic merits mention. Following an unsatisfactory attempt to address a severe toothache at Aspen Dental, I urgently sought care at this facility. The clinic presented as newly renovated, with a spacious, clean, and cozy environment. Upon arrival, an assistant promptly took X-rays and engaged in a preliminary discussion before a consultation with the doctor, who then recommended surgery. Remarkably, a staff member provided a comprehensive cost breakdown for each treatment phase, from extraction to implantation, in stark contrast to Aspen Dental's vague and totalized cost estimates. This approach, coupled with a detailed explanation and verification of my understanding due to a language barrier, not only facilitated effective communication but also served as an unexpected English language exercise. The assistant's effort to ensure my comprehension, including a visual representation of the procedure, was followed by meticulous preparation for the surgery. The post-operative phase concluded with the pain subsiding after three days, and I've scheduled a follow-up to assess the progress. While the final outcome is pending, the initial phase has been promising, emphasizing the importance of dental health.I'd like to suggest that the clinic offer more comprehensive instructions for post-operative care. Comfortable ;) This feedback is based on my personal comparison with a similar procedure I underwent in Kyiv, before 2022.My experience in the USA suggests that medical establishments often adopt a 'treatment-and-release' approach, which feels quite impersonal—once treated, you're promptly sent on your way. Although in this clinic there is some difference for the better on this issue, at least from the same Aspen Dental. And therefore this South Tampa Smiles clinic can lay claim to the concept of “Family Dentist.” But again, it’s still very early in my case to make full reviews.Updated on 04-24-2024, four weeks have passed since the tooth extraction. During this time, I visited the clinic three times for a preventive examination, and everything went according to plan.p.s. Take care of your teeth, they are a very valuable asset!!!

I recently had a terrible experience with the billing practices followed at Wang and Cortes Dental down the street. This dentist seems more honest, and fits my schedule. I am so thankful to have found this location and gave it a try. The receptionist is sweet as can be all the assistants are amazing, I could be friends with them. The environment is great and they are CLEAR and HONEST with the pricing unlike other dentists in the surrounding area!!! I will say my experience was set off a bit in the beginning with Doctor Matthew, he told me he personally knew the doctors who did my incorrect filling and told me it was fine, when it was in fact NOT fine since the filling needs to actually be replaced, I also did not really appreciate being told it’s frowned upon to switch providers even though it fits MY schedule to come into this location on Saturdays, however Doctor Behn made me see hope in the dental industry overall. He made me feel comfortable, was gentle, and very informative of my dental situation. I established trust with him in less than an hour because of the treatment and clearness he had with me. I will be coming back for a follow-up in 2 weeks and I feel confident knowing I am in great hands. 😊

They got me in quickly to resolve an emergent problem and provided me with relief and a new crown in less than 1 hour. Extremely competent, efficient and friendly staff. We are new to Tampa and chose STS due to ratings onGoogle Maps. Glad we did. Our teenagers were seen for an initial checkup. The STS team from reception to assistant to dentist was thorough, caring, communicative, and professional. We intend to use STS as long as we are in Tampa and they continue to provide outstanding dental care. Thank you STS.

After weeks of intense tooth pain, it finally became unbearable. I called at 6pm and was able to get an appointment the next morning at 8am. By 10am, I was leaving the office in much less pain and very, very happy. It turned out my tooth had decayed on the inside and I needed a root canal, which they were able to provide day of. I was super scared but they talked through my concerns and fears and gave me the confidence to move forward. It didn't even hurt :)This dentist and his staff are top tier in terms of professionalism, efficiency, and technical proficiency. I highly recommend.

This is the second time I’ve come to South Tampa Smiles and I’m impressed with the detailed cleaning they provide. The office staff are warm, welcoming, and friendly. There is a positive energy/vibe, the music they play is upbeat,(not your typical elevator office music), took me back right on schedule, and it appears like they have great availability. The dentist is thorough, asks if I have questions or concerns, and updated me on the status of my oral health. Overall, I’m very happy I made the switch to this office and would recommend them to others.

Today was my 1st visit at South Tampa Smiles. I went there because they had great reviews. I can verify this.Everybody is very friendly and professional. Doctor and staff explained in detail what I needed to get done.I was positively surprised that they started working on me right away.I feel that I am in good hands.

Their brand new location that they moved to since last August has only made them better. They now have more receptionists to greet you and check you in for an appointment, have a much nicer and larger waiting room..The technicians have a bigger footprint in space as well. Everyone is so friendly, professional and sweet. We have been with Dr. Cannariato and company since we arrived to Tampa in 2015, and we could not think of a better dental location.

Wonderful experience! Everyone in the staff was very friendly, professional, and accommodating. I called to get an appointment same day (as a new patient) over concerns of a cracked tooth and they called my insurance to confirm they could accept it and got me in immediately. The facility was very clean, the dental hygienist and dentist were very thorough and gentle on my teeth. My tooth was fine, but I appreciated that they did not dismiss the symptoms I was describing. The staff working the front desk were very personable and helpful. I would highly recommend to anyone. I chose this facility because my husband had emergency dental work done here while he was on vacation. Our prior dentist up north said multiple times that they did an outstanding job on his root canal and temporary crown.
