Dr Shaheedy is very patient and kind but after being forgotten in the waiting room by the staff for an hour, we will not be coming back. We arrived at 5:00 for our 16 month olds first visit and our 2 year olds routine check up. Our 2 year old was taken back to a room around 5:20 but we were told it was a mistake and another patient was ahead of us. We went back to the waiting room. They finally called my husband to take our 16 month old back around 5:40. My husband came out with her around 5:55 and asked how much longer it would be for our 2 year old to be seen. They explained there was a miscommunication and they had it noted he was already seen and it would be another 5-10 minutes for the dr to be available. I am not sure how forgetting a patient is labeled as miscommunication, especially when the receptionist had plenty of time to chit chat and explain to another mom how she never lets herself get angry, because Botox is too expensive and she only makes so much money. I wonder how much longer they would have had us sitting there if my husband didn’t ask for an update.

My 4 year old daughter needed a few cavities filled and would not sit in a dental chair without a fight. She has major anxiety during all doctor and dentist appointments. Due to my daughter’s temperament, other pediatric dentist offices wanted to do IV sedation only. I am not a fan of IV sedation for dental procedures.I read many reviews and asked around for pediatric dentist recommendations and found Dr. Shaheedy. This dental office does not just recommend IV sedation. They also offer twilight (oral sedation) sedation. I decided to give it a try!During our initial consult appointment, Dr. Shaheedy was great with my daughter. She was very patient and understanding about my daughter’s needs. My daughter left the consult appointment happy and loving the dentist!Fast forward to today... My daughter just had her cavities filled with NO IV sedation and no issues. Twilight sedation did the trick! Not only do I feel like twilight sedation is safer than IV sedation, it is also significantly cheaper. Win-win.Additionally, Dr. Shaheedy did NOT try and up sell me. Her treatment plan was legitimate and nothing extra was added. I had a few other dentists review the plan before our appointment. I am so happy that such an experienced dentist takes our dental insurance!UPDATE - Shortly after the fillings were completed they got loose and bacteria got inside. We switched to PPO and a different dentist needed to redo everything. My daughter’s case was tricky and I should have been referred to UCLA for full anesthesia in an operating room which is where she ended up.

Dr. Mae Aghili. OMG what can I say. She was super amazing. Super helpful. Extremely knowledgeable. She went out of her way to do whatever she can to help her patients. She literally brought the smile to my face & made me feel very comfortable. Especially when she turned on (the minions) movie. THIS REVIEW IS FROM A REAL KID AND IS A REAL ENDORSEMENT. I'm usually very frightened when it comes to going to the dentist. In Dr. Shaheedy's office, I have always been at ease. As soon as I go in her office, with the train, games and aquarium, I really feel comfortable. Over the years, she has always treated me pretty well. Also, my dad totally loves her, but he's married, so she has no chance.

Once my daughter start teething all top four were gone within a week or so. I was seeking very high rated kids dentist for almost 3 and half years. I found hundreds. But as soon as they exam her their only option was IV sedation for 5 hours except one who offered 2 hours but even though they know my daughter is in high level of pain they canceled her appointment because they didn't like my attitude. So cut a story short we called America Dental Associate Group and they refer Dr Shaheedy. I make an appointment and she was the only one who introduce me to conscious sedation. Extremely safe persuader to perform on your loved one. So I agreed to everything and on a day that I was about to hand her my kid to her I saw couple of reviews that make me panic. We talk a bit about it and we both could have trust each other so my daughter finally can get her treatment. The word i am saying right now is almost %100 reliable because I saw a whole thing with my own eye. So when they are saying during conscious sedation your kid will be awake and fall back to sleep it doesnt mean like she will be fully operated and fall back again. The part of brain that manage pain is still sleep so kids wont feel anything. I am sharing my experience to give other parent who may need it to have a %100 self confidence to do conscious sedation instead an IV one. I am so thankful to find Dr Shaheedy to threat my princess the way she deserved it. I will appreciate her honestly my whole life. I will definitely recommend her to everybody. Brought my 3 boys here for a cleaning for the first time. The first impression you get when you walk in is very warm and inviting. The waiting area is beautifully decorated and kid friendly. 2 of my boys ( ages 8 and 4) freaked out. The staff was very patient, caring and comforting the whole time. I will definitely be back! Was a great experience overall minus the melt downs 😂

Honestly, nursing my son at night is the worst thing I’ve ever done to another human being. It provided him comfort in the moment but he developed a lot of tooth decay as a result. I took him to Dr. Shaheedy and she performed all the necessary procedures, including an extraction. I know it was the most traumatic thing my son has ever experienced and it was an extremely low moment for me as a mother, but the staff was kind and Dr. Shaheedy did a wonderful job. She was extremely reassuring and efficient. His teeth look lovely. She and her staff made this experience significantly less painful than I had feared. What they do there is truly public service.

Dr. Shaheedy is an angel dentist! My son has an extreme fear of the dentist and she is the most patient, understanding and kind woman. She lets him talk for at least 20 to 30 minutes and still gets the work done while he's asking her to explain more. To top it off her work is fantastic and we are so grateful to have her as our doctor.

As always awesome service! I honestly don't know what I would do with out this dentist! They are always so nice, especially the Doctor herself! She is extremely understanding and sweet! She is super patient. This is the third visit for 2 year old and honestly she does a great job working with him. We all know toddlers are scared and this dentist rocks! My baby had some iron staining and she removed it, which I never thought was possible. I just want to let you all know, if you're looking for a dentist for your kids look no further. I also bring my 9yr old here. I do not regret ever coming here, I recommend this place. And they have a really great play area for kids when they are waiting. I'm glad I found this place, not far from my home. Thank you so much for everything :)

If i had an option of no stars at all i would defenatly give it to this clinic. The are advertising that they do cleaning x rays and check up at 125$.when they actually charge u 340$ claiming its taxes ???I asked how exactly they got to this amount and the answer was if i want to pay only 125 per kid i should cancell the x-ray (which was already included at their false advertisment)I just got out of there 250$ short.For 2 deep cleaning for my kids.One of them they did not had the right equipment to do the cleaning..the other one had half of her mouth done. I wanted the refund for my older son since they did not have the equipment to do the deep cleaning. ..so the realy unfriendly front desk girl answered...well, you will only be refunded 75$ since the doctor did a check up on your son :(Bad bad bad decision to even give a chance to crooks like these. Dont even try to go there.Oh...another thing :they have a picture on their front office wall advisung advising you will get 20% off any treatment if coming on Monday.Just another lie .... its not applying for just any treatment. .they keep the right to decide on that.
