Millennium Park Smiles

I have been at millennium park smiles for about three years now. I thought so highly of them and have been referring them to other people in my family and friends. I’ve always had a great experience with everyone until today.I did an Invisalign treatment with them and had a reoccurring payment plan going where I would automatically pay $600 each month. I received a bill where I owed $1200, which was unusual for me since I had the payment plan going and the $600 should have been paid already for February and March.It came to my attention from a dental hygienist that between February and March they lost my chart with my records (which I assume had my credit card information). They never called me to tell me that they didn’t charge me in February and March.I called today to ask why they didn’t charge me in February and March and didn’t get much of a response and asked if I can pay $600 today and then $600 next month, because no one has $1200 just laying around to pay right off the bat.This is when things turned south. SANDRA picked up the phone call from the receptionist I was originally talking to and said that I would need to pay the $600 today and then $600 on Thursday during my appointment. I told her if it was possible to pay the $600 next month since I don’t have that money to pay in 4 days from now.SANDRA then said “I can make an exception this time but can’t do it next time,” implying that this was my fault I didn’t get charged in February and March. I told Sandra that it wasn’t my fault that I didn’t get charged in February and March when you lost my chart and that’s when she said “it is our fault that we lost your chart but it’s not our fault you don’t have $1200.” At that point, I wasn’t going to fight.After about 20 minutes I called back to talk to someone about how unprofessional that phone call was. The first time I called no one answered, but then I called from an unknown phone number and they picked up the phone.The lady on the phone call was very apologetic and was understanding of the situation, which is not something I received from Sandra during that phone call. I told the lady that I will be leaving a review as it was highly unprofessional and asked to get a call back from someone in the office and the lady told me that the manager would not be in until Thursday, which was fine I was willing to wait.Then, I received a phone call from Sandra. During that I asked if I can speak to someone else besides her and she responds “well I’m the office manager.” She then proceeds to tell me that I called to complain and that what I told the other receptionist is not true and that everything is recorded. I said play the recording back because you absolutely said those things. She continued to then call me by my last name instead of my first name, after I corrected her once and told her to call me by my first name. I think that was super passive aggressive.The cherry on top of this phone call with Sandra was that she threatened to pull my records so I can go to a different dentist. I never said that I would go to a different dentist. She can play that conversation back too if the conversation was recorded.Overall, the conversation with Sandra was highly unprofessional. She should have called me and apologized for being rude on the phone call and I would have been done with this whole conversation, but she instead called me back to be defensive and tell me I was lying. Not once was she apologetic. To emphasize again, I never had a problem with any receptionist or dentist here except for Sandra. Please do better with customer service and don’t play with other peoples money.

Dr John Kontos is a phenomenal awesome dentist. He has been my dentist for 30 years. I always feel comfortable, am well informed of my choices and receive GREAT quality care from him and his staff. His staff is wonderful: helpful, caring, patient, informative. If you are seeking a straightforward and quality care driven dentist, John Kontos is the one to see.

THIS OFFICE IS EXCELLENT!Called them Monday after a filling fell out and started to hurt.Got me in the next day and fixed me up right! EVERYONE there is EXCELLENT!! From the Front Desk to the Hygenists, to the Dentists! BEYOND EXCELLENT!!Very informative explaining step by step for procedures as well as through the follow up. So happy my coworker recommended them to me...I have already recommended a few others to this office as well. You will NOT be disappointed!☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆

I highly recommend Dr. Kontos and Dr. Baboulas because they are the best dentists in Chicago and never run late on appointments. Kristy is the nicest hygienist and friendly Sandra is a real professional office manager and her kind assistant Whitney! THANK YOU!Another great aspect of Millennium Park smile is they are a friendly Private practice and not owned by a big medical conglomerate who treat you like a number.

Front desk staff is always rude in general and are mean to senior citizens. They don't understand dental billing at all, they charged a patient for a past bill that wasn't even the patient's responsibility, patient had Insurance at the time of service that covered at 100%. The staff doesn't know how to determine insurance eligibility even when the insurance is on the phone with them. Place was better before 2018.

Maria (dental hygienist) and Dr. Sigman area always pleasant and attentive -- and they do a great job. Anyway, I've been going here for about 7 years, and I highly recommend this place. THANK YOU!P.S. Wasn't crazy about having a loud TV on in waiting area, so I asked reception to mute it. Maybe a good idea to use captions instead.

The Overall Customer Service from all the staff is EXCELLENT !!!!My dentist and the others that works on my teeth keeps a smile on my face.Over a year ago, I had dental work done so that I could have a beautiful smile for my 65th birthday...I was so amazed with my Dentist with the work he performed to get me a Beautiful Smile....i left the dentist office with a Smile and tears of joy in my eyes ❤ I am a very satisfied customer and I highly recommend my Dentist !

I have been a patient at Millennium Park Smiles since 2008 and have always received very professional service. Millennium Park Smiles is a great overall dental practice and is conveniently located downtown. I am amazed how well Elise, Detnal Hygienist, performs her job. Elise is professional, kind, gentle and is always mindful of her patient's comfort level. Elise is truly amazing and I look forward to going to the dentist!

The staff is incredibly friendly and courteous. This was my first visit, but after a few minutes it felt like I knew them forever. Dr Kontos has the gentlest hands. He is competent, with a great personality, a wonderful sense of humor and a laugh that makes you forget you are in a dentist's chair. I can highly recommend Millennium Smiles - and already did!

I’ve been going here for a number of years now after going to some over priced dentists in the Gold Coast. Millennium Park Smiles is perfect, clean and a great value. They are also efficient and friendly. Amazing staff and they do great work. My hygienist Elise was great and I appreciate her taking the time to explain what she was doing and why. In all my years of going to dentists that has never happened. My Dentist Dr Kontos is great! He’s very thorough and extremely helpful. I definitely recommend this practice!!!
