I have gotten a deep cleaning, 3 wisdom teeth pulled, and am about 3 months into SureSmile. Then I had my 3 wisdom teeth removed, all on the same day at my request. Everything seemed to go well aside from them forgetting to prescribe me antibiotics, which they later realized their huge mistake a prescribed it to me after I came back in with concerns. It was upsetting they made such a huge error and risked me getting an infection, but in the end, nothing happened so I told myself there's nothing to be upset about. For my SureSmile, I have had 3 appointments for it, every single one of them rescheduled a week before appointment, even though I had these appointments about a month in advance. After the first one, I was upset because it wreaked havoc on my schedule, but you know, it happens, could happen to anyone, so I rescheduled. Second time, it got on my nerves, I was starting to feel like my appointments and I should be taken more seriously considering I've spent several thousands in less than half a year here and I've been more than patient so far. Unlucky. Today, I get the call on my third appointment in a row needing to be rescheduled. This time I have to tell my group I won't be going camping with them.Edit: They have since addressed this issue and let me know they have put systems into place to prevent any one person from getting rescheduled over and over. It is good to see a business take criticism and improve. Despite the prescription and scheduling issues, the treatment you receive is very good, as all the other reviews say. I feel secure about treatments and procedures when I am in the office. If there are any issues, management is open to being contacted, I realize that now.

They are good at what they do, and it's a very friendly environment. I've been there twice and had different dental hygienists and dentists both times. The dentist who saw me the first time was the only person who wasn't super friendly. And she wasn't necessarily unfriendly, but she seemed to be in a big rush. I think my cleaning took much longer than expected since it had been 5 years since my last dental visit. The dentist talked a mile a minute at the end of the appointment when she was summarizing what products I should consider and what follow up I needed to do. She talked so fast I barely took in any of what she was saying. After about 2 hours in the chair, I was so ready to be out of there that I didn't mind her rush. The second dentist who saw me (Dr. Soumya Thomas) was very personable and friendly. She did a filling for me, and it felt a lot more comfortable than the filling I had done at a different place, so I think she did a good job. And every single one of the dental hygienists has been amazing.

I really recommend "Pilsen Smiles" it's the best dentist to go to. It's rated "4.8" which is so cool because I always look for good reviews from places before going to them. The whole staff from the receptionist, to the assistants , to Dr. Ochoa are so amazing, they do an awesome job everytime I go. They even send messages and emails on your phone about reminders about your appointments , and also instructions about what to do after your surgerys, dental work , antibiotics you need to take and how you need to take them, etc ,which is so so awesome and very helpful. They are very professional, very honest, very respectful, very friendly, very helpful. They welcome you and make you feel very comfortable, Any questions that you might have or concerns you have they are always happy to help you and answer your questions. The whole place and the rooms are always really really clean 👍 which is also awesome. The rooms even have tv's and the assistants even ask you if you want to watch anything on Netflix while you wait in the room to see your Dentist 👍. So awesome, I never been to a dentist before where you get treated so awesome like this until I started coming to "Pilsen Smiles" so if you are looking for a really good dentist thats really clean and with a really amazing awesome staff look no further because "Pilsen Smiles" is the best place to go to honestly, Trust me you will be happy you came here and you will also leave happy.

Warning: this place is scammy. They offer free whitening trays for positive reviews. I suggest that you read the negative reviews as well.My first visit at Pilsen Smiles was July of last year. My cleaning went fine with no issues. I scheduled to get my wisdom teeth removed with them February of this year. Before the appointment, I received a call from the billing department letting me know the appointment will be ~$850. I was fine with that and proceeded with the appointment. The surgery went fine. After the procedure, I walked to the billing area and was charged $1,600. Double the expected price. I questioned the person working and asked why the price increased and they said that I would be reimbursed within 8-12 weeks. I was in no position to argue post surgery so I paid the bill and left. That alone was going to be my reason for writing this review, but today sealed the deal.4 weeks ago, I checked my insurance and did not see a claim submitted. I called Pilsen Smiles to see if they had any info and they said they would give me a call back. Never did. I called again, got no information. Finally, I called back last Thursday and asked again, they said they would get back to me. I decided to call back today (Tuesday) after I got no call back and they magically said that my funds would be available in 4-5 days. I asked them what changed? Come to find out, they received my reimbursement on February 11 from insurance, less than 2 weeks after my surgery.I am under the impression that unless I continued to call back over and over, they would not have sent me my payment. Don't trust the initial pricing that they give you over the phone and don't trust that you will receive your reimbursement without begging for it. I will not be returning here and I suggest you be wary of any quotes they give you.

I have had the most wonderful experience at Pilsen Smiles. The staff is very professional and friendly. They truly make you feel at home offering a variety of amenities including blankets, aromatherapy, headphones, Netflix, chapstick, and stress balls. I’ve been loyal to them for two years now and would recommend this place in a heartbeat. Thank you Pilsen smiles for keeping my teeth fresh and clean!

Dr. Isabel Llamozas was kind and friendly and treated me with care. She explained all my procedures and options to me. The dental assistants were friendly and knowledgeable and put me at ease. They clearly explained what my insurance covered and the costs of anything additional. The reception staff were friendly and efficient. The entire practice was modern, clean and inviting. I am very happy with my service.

When I first came across Pilsen Smiles, I was very excited to patron a Latina owned business. But after an incident that happened last year with my wife, my family no longer goes here. There is a big disconnect between the people that actually work on your teeth and the people that work the office.Let’s start with the positive. The dentists, dental assistants, and hygienists are all fantastic. They are extremely professional, friendly, and do fantastic work. Even my family’s new dentist complimented the work done by our previous dentist, which was Pilsen Smiles. So for the people that actually work on your teeth, five stars all day.Now here is the negative. The last procedure that my wife had was a very tough wisdom tooth removal. During my wife’s procedure, a crown was loosened. Her dentist put it back temporarily but let her know that once she heals from the wisdom teeth removal, the crown would be fixed permanently. The dentist also said, and I want to make this clear that this came from the dentist, that if the crown becomes loose again, to come back ANYTIME so that they can do another temporary fix.My wife’s crown does become loose again while she is healing and goes back to get it fixed as the dentist told her. Once she got there, and told the front desk person why she was there, the receptionist asked if my wife had an appointment. My wife said she didn’t since the dentist never told her that she needed to make one and the dentist told her specifically that she can come anytime. This seemed to annoy the receptionist and she stated that she doubted that my wife would be seen. My wife pushed back and asked the receptionist to verify with a dentist. The receptionist got up and claimed to have spoken with a dentist and confirmed that my wife couldn’t be seen today. The receptionist then said that my wife can just go to Walgreens and buy a kit to put back a loose crown. Maybe I am wrong, but I feel that the person that doesn’t actually do dental procedure should be offering dental advice. We also had a large issue with the billing. My wife’s wisdom tooth removal was quoted a price based on the dentist being in our insurance network and the office billing person was very confident in their estimate. The day of the procedure we paid the out of pocket estimate and the front office put in the insurance claim for the rest. Once we received the insurance company’s letter on what was actually covered, it was significantly less than what the billing person told us, making the out of pocket portion a lot higher. Looking over the letter, it said the dentist was out of network. I thought that was a mistake since the dental insurance my family has is a very large company and in the ten years we have had this insurance, we never had a dentist be out of network. I called Pilsen Smiles and told them that the insurance was claiming the dentist was out of network and it must be a mistake. Well, it took the person I was speaking with less than 10 seconds to actually check and determine that the dentist was indeed out of network. I thanked the person for checking and hung up, but it was frustrating to find out that the billing person never did a proper check to see if we were in network, and apparently it was something quick and easy to do.Once my wife healed from the wisdom tooth removal, she went back to get her crown permanently put back, and that was the last we ever went to Pilsen Smiles. There was also another issue with scheduling but I think I made my point that the people running the office deserve one star, combining with the five stars for the dental team, justify the three stars I am giving Pilsen Smiles.

If I could give less than one star I would,Dr. Ochoa is a super narcissistic person who treats her employees horribly. And she doesn't care about her patients, she just wants money, she classifies her patients by their $$ and treats her employees terribly.Look for a better optionMost of her reviews are from her friends.Maritza del real says she has been going to Pilsen smiles for 8 years when the place hasn't been open for that long 🤣🤣

I had an incredible first-time visit to Pilsen Smiles. I frequently move and have been to several dentists (both in Chicago and around the country). This was, BY FAR, the best visit to any dentist I've ever had. Everyone was incredibly friendly and cheerful. My dental hygienist went out of her way to make me a hand-written list of all the best places to try out in Pilsen (I'm new to the neighborhood). Everyone who interacted with me/my teeth was comprehensive and genuinely cared about me and my dental health. I needed to get prescription fluoride toothpaste, and I could even get that at the office (rather than going to a pharmacy). I left with a clean smile and a coffee mug as a thank you! How sweet!I highly recommend the ladies at Pilsen Smiles!
