Absolutely horrific experience.. Had braces put on .. Paid cash upfront.. Went for routine tightening.. Doc asks " How are you " , great .. " looking forward to getting these off ".. Implying yayy! One appointment closer to being brace free.. To which his reply is " We'll just take them off today ".. Abruptly and ROUGH and AGGRESSIVELY yanking the braces off.. Pulling my mouth polishing my teeth...I say nothing.. Intimidated thinking, maybe this guy is angry today or a bad experience with a women.. To be so , what seemed bothered.. Like he took it personal..I leave.. Unhappy With the results, but what do I know I'm not am orthodontist. Tells me " IF I GIVE YOU A RETAINER , ARE YOU GOING TO WEAR IT??! Like im a 5 yr old.. I'm thinking maybe if I wear the retainer long enough they will flatten out because at this point I have to front buck teeth.. Apprehensive about returning , because now I'm nervous.. I see another Ortho who tells me I'm absolutely right that they were taken off prematurely and I need more time. But why am I going to pay somebody else for someone else's mistake ? So I decided to return. Just left the office telling me that my teeth are just fine.. Mind you .. My dentist and another Ortho have confirmed it's a mistake.. they were to be on 9 months to a year.. He ripped them off in 4 months... He did suggest more dental work for more $$.. But that would not solve the problem..

I've had the best experience with Straighten Up Orthodontics. I appreciated that the initial consultation was free. Their X-ray systems are the best I've ever seen. In fact, I've never come across another dentist office that does that 3D model of your whole jaw and skull so they can flip it around and see every angle. I also really like the app they have and follow up messaging system.Dr. Layman is THE BEST!! Very kind and caring. I had an unusual situation with my teeth so have put off getting them fixed for over 25 years. But Dr. Layman worked with me to find a way so I won't have a gap for a long period of time after removing my baby teeth.After I got my...whatever they're called, the plastic things that go in place of braces...Dr. Layman personally called me to check up to make sure I was good.He has some great support staff too. Can't say enough about them; Mary and all the rest of the administrative staff. They helped me sort out some tricky scheduling between Dr. Layman and my oral surgeon. Really great team at Straighten Up Orthodontics!!!
