The Smile Center of Columbus

Absolutely do not go there. It is extremely dysfunctional. Staff has no idea what they are doing in any aspect (clerical, billing and/or patient care). Complete waste of time going there. I’m glad I took time off of work for nothing to be accomplished due to lack of communication in the office. This is exactly why many of their doctors have left the practice. Pure incompetence.

The front desk staff is absolutely amazing and I love this facility so much but unfortunately I'm not thrilled about a few things. My children and I come to this practice all of the time, and we have never had an issue. There's a doctor that we find to be very unsanitary. I just hope you guys keep in mind that Corona, and other viruses can be easily spread from person to person and I didn't like that this doctor was sick and the mask wasn't covering their face the whole time. I'd also suggest that the doctor is more gentle, and friendly. I don't have anything else to say, I give this office 5 stars due to the fact it's not their fault of one doctor's negligence. Besides my concerns, the office is very cleaned, and the staff is super friendly. They are always willing to help, as they care a lot about their patients and I usually never have an issue here.

2 bad experience with this place. First appointment they were supposed to do a treatment never received a call back from them. I called there answer was still waiting for the approval from insure after a month. Still waiting for that call a year later. Still gave them benefit of doubt when in today for a filling the DR told me she could not do permanent due to time that she was going to put a temporary filling. I asked why it takes aprox 45 minutes compared to 15. Im 40 minutes away why should i come back for a filling. Why the office did not give an appointment suitable for the procedure. Also she said she has another patient after me. So my teeth and time are less important than other patient. You lost 3 patients in your office and will make sure the military community is aware of your service and professionalism.

I have broke 3 teeth post root canal because Dr. Rockwell neglected to put crowns on after these procedures. I was even questioned by another doctor at this practice as to why I never had crowns put on, but seeing as how I am not personally a dentist, how should I know? I trusted that my dentist would take care of this for me, however; that was not the case. Now I walk around toothless and broke as I await implants. Thanks Smile Center, my confidence and wallet are really hurting these days.

I love this place! They make you feel very comfortable and welcome. Never half to wait long. Hygienist Tracy is very friendly and caring. Dr. Andrew Maimone seems very skilled! They are very responsive to any issues that arise with your dental care. I like how the treatment rooms have beautiful views of the lake next to the building.

I had a gum graft procedure which went well. However, I had a lot of pain afterwards. It was the 5th day post-op and still in A LOT of pain. I couldn't drink anything (even water) without pain, even with the Ibuprofen 800mg every 4 hours. I went to the office and waited in the exam room for them to look at me and then I left. I was in pain and hungry and was frustrated. I was waiting 25 minutes and no one came in. I get they are busy but really?Side note: I would rather go through the pain of childbirth than the pain of gum graft.

Amazing dentist office! FromThe friendly front desk to the knowledgeable cleanings techs, (especially Tracy!) and the upfront and honest dentists! (Ask for Dr. Iye!) Have had years of awful dentists that have given me extreme anxiety but I can finally say I feel comfortable when I go to the Smile Center. Definitely worth checking out!

I have nothing but love for this place. When covid hit I was forced to find a new dentist as my previous one closed and my mouth requires frequent attention. I could not have landed in better hands. The staff from the front desk back is always delightful and makes me feel welcome at every visit. They have even taken care of smaller things without charging me, and it's never a fight to get an appointment. I spend little time in the waiting room, am always greeted with a smile and positive attitude, and treated more like a friend than a customer. Dr. I specifically has gone above and beyond for me without question at every visit and even taken time to discuss treatment with me over the phone when I had concerns. I could not recommend this practice highly enough, and will not hesitate to suggest anyone go here if it ever comes up in conversation.P.S. Not to mention the view is relaxing.

I really wanted to love this place as I had just left my previous dental office in search of a new dental office for my family. During my first visit I had explained to Dr Richards that one molar was experiencing high sensitivity to cold and hot fluids. Upon review of X-rays, it was determined that a root canal was needed - not what I wanted to hear but ok fine. S/B I’ve never had a root canal before and was completely nervous about the procedure especially since I’m petrified of needles. I had the root canal done on a Thursday by Dr. Duy Do and by Monday my tooth cracked while eating eggs, which I was instructed that I could have soft foods. I returned to the office that Monday to have the cracked piece removed and was told the crack was too deep to continue with the root canal (no crown) and that I will inevitably lose that tooth. I’m not sure how a routine root canal resulted in me losing my tooth but I have been in tears since being told so. I’m too traumatized to explore any other options at this point. Currently as a temporary fix, Dr Richards is building on to the piece of tooth left. This review is a be continue pending the final outcome 😢3/29/23 Update - Dr. Duy no longer works there. I had to pay $662 for a disaster they created. When I called to ask why was I being charged for their error, I was told by their billing coordinator, Kathie Tracey, that if I removed my review (because they want only good reviews), they will adjust the amount of the implant ($6000 plus) by the amount I owe. She also mentioned that these types of issues happen (me: so does a heart attack, but I dont want that to happen either). Nonetheless, if the Smile Center is this careless and casual with a "simple" root canal, there's no chance in hell I would have them to do an implant. People save your smile and your teeth and go elsewhere!

I love going here! I recently had my hygienist switched due to personal reasons and the one I had was amazing! I had just gotten braces off and my gums were really sore, so she was very gentle and took her time. She even went as far as to give me an extra mouth wash to help heal my gums, which she didn’t have to do! If you’re looking for a good dentist office, this is the place to go.
