I called to make an appointment. The absolute rudest receptionist started screaming “HELLO, HELLO,” when I did not answer her question quick enough. Based off this 2 minute phone call, I was immediately disinclined to go to this practice. I called my dentist and asked them to never refer patients to further subject anyone to this atrocious behavior. There are plenty of orthodontists around with BETTER quality customer service and patient care- this is NOT it.

If you have state insurance please stay away from this place, they will not consider you a priority. My 9-year-old daughter was referred here by her dentist due to her having pain on her teeth and it's due to her having an impacted tooth. My daughter went in on Feb 2 and it is now Feb 15 and they have still not submitted anything to her insurance for pre-authorization. The first time I called to ask what happened I was told they were not able to send anything to the insurance because they couldn't upload images!!! The second time I called they told me their office was closed and the person who answered was just answering the phones and doesn't handle the state claims. I was told I would be called tomorrow, which honestly, I highly doubt, so my daughter is still in pain, and I am looking for another orthodontist. Stay away.

I have been going to straight set orthodontics for years! They are the best of the best, the atmosphere is clean and modern they always have great movies playing. The staff is always so welcoming and kind! They take you step by step through each process, braces, rubber bands, retainers. Coming to straight set is an experience not a chore.

NO STARS !! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE . Carmen and the other staff member was very rude and condescending . The young man I spoke with when I scheduled asked me was I referred ? I told him yes . He stated okay because we cannot see you if you weren’t referred . He told me to bring in my scans, I told him I do not have any scans , but he can contact my last dentist to retrieve them. Today he calls to confirm the appointment and tells me I have to bring in a paper referral . Which I was not told initially because the referral was given to me verbally as the dentist I saw was not sure this office would have appointments. The phone disconnected because I am at work, so I called back asking to cancel because of the confusion and to speak with a manager. Carmen who is supposedly the office manager was very rude and told me that I’m “worked up”. I have worked with Northwell Health in several departments for several years . This is not the service I would expect from an establishment like this . Very disappointing . She then hung up the phone and told me she’s not speaking with me because I’m not even a patient there as if I didn’t have an appointment scheduled for tomorrow at 9:00 AM. They lack compassion and they need to fire her !! Will never support this business .

Worst location first of all I wouldn’t even waste my time going there staff are really rude and aggressive. Not to mention the doctor I was actually in pain and the girl was as even cutting up my mouth with the sharp tool they just doesn’t care about they patient that’s how I felt they can’t work under pressure and they don’t make you feel any better I DO NOT recommend this office at all. Another thing I observe I worked in a doctors office they do not go above and beyond for their patient & that’s really sad .Last & final if you’re ever running late just go ahead turn back around cause I promise you they will send you back home.We need better service not fair did I mention I been with them for 3 years now I regret going there I will never ever Recommend anyone sad but it’s the truth.

Staff was knowledgeable and patient. Dr. Is professional and addressed all of our concerns.This office is very clean and staff members are friendly.I always feel like at home environment in this office. Also everyone is so professional there’. I always look forward for all my appointments.Today, April 21, 2023 I finally got my attachments removed! On my way to get my aligners. It feels great!!!

Staff is very aggressive when performing services and show no concern for the patient’s well being while working on them. They have made my son’s mouth bleed and drastically cut up. Have received attitude back from staff when brining this up. Thank god braces are off and we’re done with this place. I will say however, the receptionists are all lovely but the actual orthodontists and assistants are terrible. Would not recommend this place.

A++++ Long story short…I had to start my Invisalign process over…I went to my appointment on 4/1 in New Hyde Park with the expectation of having a difficult time since I missed months on appointments.…it was the exact opposite…the staff and doctor were extremely nice, professional and answered all of my concerns…I’m now waiting for my first Invisalign set to achieve that perfect smile. I highly recommend Straight smile orthopedics.

I heard about Straight Set Orthodontics from my daughters Dentist. Since our first visit everyone around us were very friendly and helpful. From our first consultation to setting up a payment plan, everyone were very helpful. 6 weeks ago my daughter got her top row of braces today she got the bottom row done. My daughter was very satisfied and happy with how gentle the lady was that was working with her. They are very clean and organized. Highly recommend!!!
