Staten Island Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

I came here for my wisdom teeth extraction and they insisted that I only have 2 and a half of the teeth removed, even though all 4 were impacted. When my dentist heard this, he guessed a new or amateur surgeon made this call and said the other 1.5 teeth could have been easily removed too. Now I have to get the other teeth removed and go through/pay for the surgery all over again. Also the assistant had to stab me 3 or 4 times for the anesthesia and I remember bleeding all over my arm and clothes before going under. Don't recommend at all

I was able to get an appointment to meet with Dr. Hoffman quickly. Dr. Hoffman is a true professional. He is also calm and empathetic. He answered all my questions and allayed my fears. He scheduled me for oral surgery the next morning. I had full sedation. The surgery was completely painless. The office staff is lovely and very helpful. I hugely recommend Dr Hoffman for your oral surgery needs.

On March 6th I had both upper and lower teeth removed and implants put in. Dr. Lam did my surgery. She was wonderful to say the least. David assisted her during the surgery. Just wanted to say that the entire staff is absolutely wonderful. They care about the patient. Office is spotless. If anyone needs oral surgery of any kind they should not hesitate to see Dr. Lam. My wife had a consultation and procedure done by Dr. Emad Abdou. Dr. Abdou has one of the best bedside manners of any doctor we've met during this process. He is knowledgeable, patient and understanding. He answered many of our repetitive questions and made us feel at ease for the complicated situation we were in. The front desk were helpful & kind and his assistant Connie was wonderful pre and post op. Connie was explicit with post op instructions and helped my wife after the anesthesia. Would recommend anyone and everyone try them before anyone else.

For years, I've been avoiding getting my wisdom teeth extracted due to a significant fear. However, after having a consultation with Dr. Abdou, I must say he's the most compassionate doctor I've ever encountered. He attentively listened to all my concerns, and despite being a professional, he made me feel at ease, almost like a friend. On the morning of the surgery, my fear lingered, but Dr. Abdou patiently reassured me, making the experience extremely comfortable. Opting for IV sedation, I was amazed at how smooth the process was—I realized I was scared for absolutely nothing! Upon waking up, I experienced no pain, no swelling, and no bruising. Following Dr. Abdou's recommendation, I underwent PRF, which remarkably sped up the healing process. Dr. Abdou's expertise truly shines, and if I ever require further dental procedures, I know I'll be in good hands returning to him. For my first surgery ever, (5 extractions and an implant) this experience was a breeze. Thank You to Dr. Abdou and his team!

I recently turned 50 and I have had a lifetime of issues with my teeth. A lot of what I endured was painful and some unnecessary. I've been to over a dozen dentists, specialists and prosthodontists. The good news is that after just one visit with Dr Lam, I knew I was in the right place. Dr Lam and her staff made me feel like I was among old friends. Their care for me and the treatment of my family during my full reconstruction was second to none. Every single professional I went to said what I wanted could not be done and that dentures were my only option.I can say with great certainty that not only can Dr Lam help, but you will be treated with respect and true care, in her care.Thank you to the amazing staff at Staten Island Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and to Dr Lam. I owe you more then you will ever know.

“Doctor” Lam not only treated me with absolute disrespect but she also decided to tell me that I deserved the pain and suffering that I was feeling as my sedation was wearing off. She didn’t like that I was an advocate for myself. She doesn’t have “hands of gold” nor does she have amazing customer service attributes. Doctor Abdou gave my sister a bone infection last year. Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who’s colored or from a minority group. If you’re white you’ll get treated wonderfully. But if you’re not then I recommend finding someplace else.

If i could put 10 stars i would. Dr. David Hoffman is hands down the best out there, literally he's known around the world. Did 2 implants 2 months apart. Was in and out WITHIN 25 mins with with an implant. Hes super friendly and pain doesn’t exist im whatever work hes doing on you, even after the numbness wears off lol. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Appointments have been on the dot. Havent waited more than 2 mins. I referred all my friends and family to him. I had been looking for 4 years for a good oral surgen which by the way last one before dr. David got scared to do it and walked out 😂

Staten Island oral surgery is the best thing I ever did for myself. I am so glad that I found Dr. Hoffman. He is absolutely one of the finest people I have ever met I’m not only like him and his entire staff I also admire them for their work ethic. I never have waited anymore. I brought my 86 yr old mom in to get 3 extractions and from the reception desk to the doctor examination room everyone was very professional and handled my mom with outstanding bedside manner. The nurses that worked with Dr. Mark Goodenough performed an excellent service/surgery. My mom had minimal pain and bleeding. I would definitely recommend this office.
